Getafe
- Ernesto Valverde suffered his first defeat since taking charge last weekend as another disappointing home defeat, this time to Rayo Vallecano, left Los Che seven points off the Champions League places.
- The former Espanyol coach continued with his experiment of using Andres Guardado at left-back over Aly Cissokho and is expected to continue with the Mexcian, but Adil Rami and Ever Banega both missed training on Wednesday and are doubtful.
- Victor Ruiz is fit again and available should Rami not make it, whilst Jonathan Viera could also come back in to replace Pablo Piatti.
- Getafe have now gone five league games unbeaten but they were very fortunate to snatch a point at home to Osasuna last weekend as Diego Castro converted a very controversial stoppage time penalty to secure a 1-1 draw.
- Luis Garcia will be forced into two changes from the side that started last time out as Juan Valera is suspended and Pedro Leon will be sidelined for a few weeks with a knee injury.
- Miguel Torres is expected to return at right-back to deputise for Valera, whilst Castro will come in for Leon.
