Celta Vigo
- Atleti slipped nine points behind Barcelona as the Catalans came from behind to beat Diego Simeone's men 4-1 last weekend and strengthen their hold on the title race.
- However, los Rojiblancos were boosted by Real Madrid's slip-up at home to Espanyol which means they will definitely finish the year in second place, no matter what happens this weekend.
- Filipe Luis limped off at half-time at the Camp Nou and will miss out with the thigh injury that has bothered him in recent weeks. Cata Diaz will most likely fill in at left-back, whilst Adrian could also replace Koke should Simeone look to go for a more attacking option.
- Celta's inability to take chances cost them again on Monday night as Jorge Molina's last goal gave Betis all three points at Balaidos to leave the Galicians just two points above the drop zone.
- Monday's game also cost Paco Herrera on the injury front as Roberto Lago has been ruled out of the trip to the Calderon with a muscular problem so Carlos Bellvis will come in at left-back.
- Cristian Bustos is also expected to come into midfield with Michael Krohn-Dehli moving back to the left side of the attacking three as Herrera looks for a more defensively secure option ahead of the daunting trip to the Europa League champions.
