Getafe
- Rayo signed off for Christmas in perfect fashion with a 3-0 drubbing of Levante last time out and with Jose Carlos still not ready to make his comeback, Paco Jemez is expected to go with the same side for the visit of Getafe.
- That should mean that Nacho will retain his place ahead of Jose Casado at left-back, whilst Leo Baptistao will again lead the line looking to add to his six goals and four assists so far this season.
- In contrast Getafe were brought back down to earth before the break as they were beaten for the first time in six league games by Valencia.
- Luis Garcia has also been dealt a blow with the news that Mane will be out for four to five months, but Juan Valera is available to return to Miguel Torres will switch across to left-back.
- Abdel Barrada and Meddi Lacen are also away representing Morocco and Algeria respectively at the Africa Cup of Nations, whilst Pedro Leon remains sidelined by a knee problem.
