Real Sociedad
Deportivo
- Real Sociedad's unbeaten streak came to an end in a thrilling 4-3 defeat to Real Madrid last weekend.
- And it wasn't just the result that went wrong for Philippe Montanier's men at the Bernabeu as three quarters of his back four are suspended after Dani Estrada was sent-off and Mikel Gonzalez and Inigo Martinez picked up yellow cards which have taken them over the disciplinary limit.
- Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo is also a doubt with a muscular problem but Asier Illarramendi should return to the midfield after overcoming the gastroenteritis that hampered his participation last weekend.
- Deportivo, meanwhile, got off to the best possible start under new manager Domingos Paciencia with a 1-0 win over Malaga.
- The Portuguese coach will, however, be forced into at least one change from the side that started last time out as Abel Aguilar is suspended, so Juan Carlos Valeron or Javier Camunas may return with Andre Santos dropping into a deeper role.
- Laure and Ayoze are also still out so Evaldo and Manuel Pablo are expected to continue at full-back.
