Real Valladolid
Mallorca
- Valladolid slipped to their third defeat in four games as they were soundly beaten 3-1 by Celta Vigo last weekend, but they will be boosted by the return of arguably their two most influential players for the visit of Mallorca.
- Oscar Gonzalez will certainly retake his place after serving a suspension, whilst Patrick Ebert is expected to have overcome the hamstring injury that has kept him out in recent weeks.
- However, Manucho is still missing as he has left to represent Angola at the African Nations, whilst Jesus Rueda and Victor Perez remain sidelined by suspension and injury respectively.
- Mallorca snatched a point from their home game with Atletico Madrid last weekend despite being outplayed for practically the whole match, meaning they have now taken four points from the last possible six in the league.
- Joaquin Caparros will also be able to welcome back Victor Casadesus after he was suspended for the visit of the Europa League holders but Antonio Lopez and Joao Victor are still out injured.
