Team News

  • Ogbonna started against Roma and seems to be fully fit, so he's going to start against Fiorentina.
  • Sgrigna should partner Bianchi up front, since Meggiorini is not completely fit.
  • Vives may not even be able to make the bench, so Santana and Cerci should be pretty safe to play.
  • Pizarro is suspended and will leave his spot in the midfield to one of Olivera, Romulo or Mati Fernandez.
  • Jovetic is slowly recovering from his injury and may be able to make the bench, while Ljajic will start up front.
  • Toni and El Hamdaoui are in competition to partner him, with the former favoured.

  • Torino are three points above the relegation zone, but some teams sitting in lower positions could pick up points this week, so it is mandatory for Ventura to collect some points.
  • Fiorentina may already be dreaming after getting very close to Inter and grabbing the third place, where they are tied with Napoli. Torino is not the most difficult place to play, but the Viola should not underestimate their opponents.
  • The visitors will probably manage ball possession, even if they may struggle a little bit without Pizarro leading the midfield. Torino should try to push from the start and take advantage from the time Fiorentina will need to adapt. However, in the long run the Viola will give away very few scoring chances and try to seize the full prize, especially if Jovetic will be able to play in the second half.

  • Torino lose last match against Roma. Fiorentina is stronger than Roma, play better and this should be the sixth victory in a row
