Team News

  • Lucarelli and Benalouane are both suspended, so Donadoni will have to choose between Zaccardo and Santacroce to partner Paletta.
  • The World Champion is in talks with Milan and could also sign before the match, so Santacroce looks favoured.
  • The former Napoli man has only played a few matches this season so far, and this may be a good chance for him to get a run in the team.
  • Pogba didn't play against Milan in the Coppa Italia clash, so he will be fresh to start in the midfield in Parma.
  • Caceres is favoured over Peluso after his bad debut with Juve against Sampdoria.
  • Quagliarella may have a chance from the off since Giovinco, Vucinic and Matri all played in the midweek fixture.

  • Parma are having a successful season in the top half of the table, and the three victories in a row achieved before this match proved their consistency once more. Surprisingly, the Crociati have a similar record to Juventus at home (just one point less with one game in hand), and they are the only unbeaten team at home so far.
  • On the other hand, Juve are the best team away from home, and despite the points dropped against Sampdoria last week, the Bianconeri are still dominating the league with a 5 point lead that should keep the pressure off for this trip to Parma.
  • Juve will be also helped by the morale they gained by beating Milan in the Coppa Italia clash, which means that Conte's team will try to attack from the first minute and to try to make Parma uncomfortable at home. Donadoni has some problems in defence and may therefore field a balanced, and slightly more negative, team to cover his back line.

  • Juve's form seems to have dipped a bit lately. May be it has to do with Chiellini and Marchisio's absence. In any case, they should be able to win Serie A despite the recent results. I just hope they get back to their best by the time Champions League rolls around next month. Go Juve!
