Team News

  • Genoa are trying to buy captain Portanova, but a protest from the supporters made the club take the player off the transfer market.
  • The defender is not training with the rest of the group - the club's line on this is that he has a minor injury - and therefore is not likely to play against Roma.
  • Taider is back available and in competition with Kone for a spot in the attacking trio that will support Gilardino.
  • Lamela is suspended, Destro is injured and Lopez is playing in the under-20 tournament in South America.
  • No doubt then that Pjanic will play up front with Osvaldo and Totti, making room in midfield for Bradley.
  • Burdisso will replace the injured Marquinhos in the centre of the defence.

  • Bologna were in Milan's way to the top of the table but were beaten in San Siro. They are much more solid at home where their last match was an easy victory against Chievo.
  • Roma lost all of their last three matches away from the Olimpico, and are without an away victory since the beginning of December. After a long chase, Milan gained the sixth place last week and the Giallorossi must reply to such achievement.
  • The first match of the season between these teams was an incredible comeback from 2-0 to 2-3 in Bologna's favour which brought back memories of old problems of Zeman's teams. Teams managed by the Bohemian coach also usually struggle in January, so the visitors must be wary since Bologna already know how to beat them.

  • Roma's a wonderful team to watch going forward, but it seems like they concede all the time. A little defensive concentration for Roma would be a good thing.

  • roma win 0-2

  • A Draw truly is the best result for Bologna 1 - 1

  • roma3 bologna 1, totti, florenzi, pjanic
