Team News

  • Centre-back Tomas Ujfalusi remains the only certain absentee for Fatih Terim, though Sabri has a knock and is also a doubt.
  • Dany Nounkeu and Cris should keep their places over Semih Kaya at the back, while Bulut is likely to be favoured over the returning Johan Elmander up front.
  • Emre Colak and Nourredine Amrabat compete for a place on the left wing.
  • Wayne Rooney missed the weekend's game at Norwich with tonsillitis and will continue to be rested with qualification and the top spot in Group H already assured.
  • Joining the England international of those who have not travelled with the squad to Turkey are Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Robin van Persie.
  • Phil Jones is in line for a return having recovered from injury to make the bench at the weekend, while the likes of Buttner, Anderson and Welbeck should all be given a rare chance to shine.

  • Both teams will be keen to put disappointing domestic results behind them on Tuesday night, with Galatasaray losing at home to Karabukspor and United unable to come from behind at Carrow Road.
  • The visitors, however, aren't in need of the result other than to regain confidence, so will field a much changed side with the hosts looking to capitalise and put themselves in a great position to qualify from the group in second.
  • Terim will want his side to feed off the energy of the home crowd and try to make the early running. United will play with little to no pressure though, and that could give the away side the freedom they need to continue their run in Europe.

  • Things turned out to be different, Gs dominated the match in terms of offensive football.

  • United can win even with their subs. Gala are doing badly at the moment. Only team in Turkey who does well in Europe currently is Fenerbahce.

  • heavy betting on gaalatasaray since last week

  • Can see Gala dominating, but I think Utd will win narrowly, or it will be a draw.

  • agree with paingsoe

  • galatasary 2 0 manU

  • Of course Rooney and v.Persie are the mainplayers of this team! But just with the "Reserve" of the team, they will win against Gala. The young players and the reservplayers have an extra motivation to win. It´s prestige!
