Arsenal simply are not good enough to beat Bayern. Great effort by them but the squad needs much greater strengthening in the summer. Ozil is simply not enough. Poldi goal was class even if there was a blatant push in the build-up. But after the goal Guardiola killed the game by bringing on Kroos for an attacker.
Despite league form Bayern don't look like definites for the CL. Tougher tests to come for them.
Ox was amazing as well
Everyone is talking about how good Bayern are in the bundesliga and how they are 20 points clear when the play against weak opposition. But now under guardiola in tough games against good opposition, they do not know how to grind out a 1-0 or 2-0 win like they did under their previous manager, because of the different playing styles from this season and last. Yes Bayern dominated the match, but they were not good enough to convert loads of possession into goals.

So Wenger reckons Bayern will have the thought in their head that it's job done. If so, and if Arsenal get an early goal, it's game on. But Pep, I think, is wise to this. Hence his playing up the danger Arsenal and Ozil present before the match. And he's right. Arsenal can blow hot and cold, even in one match, but think of how Wigan dispatched the once storming and mighty Man City. Intensity, grit and fight; qualities that can turn a match. Well last season it was more less the same, Arsenal needed 3 goals, went to germany to suprise everyone by wining 0-2 in Munich ground. I Think Arsenal is better this season than last, but so is this B.Munich... It will be a great game, whoever wins it. And it's true, that this year in bundesliga there's no team that can be matched with arsenal...Dortmund,shcalke or leverkusen are all below arsenal.. So to Munich will also be a solid test, and to remember that the only defeat in munich's ground came from another english team, M.City. 1-1, or 2-1 or 1-2.
Arsenal have enough steel to give this one a go. As we know, in the first minutes, before the Ozil penalty turned him into a sagging soufflé, Arsenal showed real guts, and Bayern were knocked back. I feel though that Bayern have another gear to go into, to power into the turn and accelerate out. Can Arsenal sustain that level of intensity for 90 or 120? The Ox, Flamini, Arteta (he won't fluff a penalty if he gets the chance) are key. And Ozil, something tells me this is a grudge match for him. Booed by Germany fans, the object of media and commentary criticism. Can he stay at the level we know he can. This is a show me your big match credentials game. And that is one area that Arsenal have improved this year, even if sometimes inconsistently.
