Team News
West Ham
Southampton
- James Collins is now a doubt with injury despite being available once more after suspension so James Tomkins and Winston Reid will keep their places at the back.
- Kevin Nolan will be out for around 6 weeks with Mauro Zarate profiting from his absence last weekend and set to do so once again.
- Carl Jenkinson is nearing a return to full fitness to put pressure on Joey O'Brien, who has kept Guy Demel out of the side up to now.
- Ronald Koeman has fielded the same XI players in both league games thus far but may make some changes after the side looked a little blunt against West Brom last weekend.
- Jay Rodriguez remains the only senior absentee in the squad through injury.
- Jack Cork scored from the bench in the cup in midweek and may have earned a start, with new signings Shane Long and Saphir Taider also hoping to come into contention.
Schneiderlin what a boss lol. 2 goals, 6 tackles, 114 touches & 92% pass accuracy.
You know what im glad Southhampton proved me wrong on the day, I love their Philosophies. And apparently schenderlin can shoulder all scoring responsibilities, however over the course of the season depending on transfers i expect to see southhampton do poorly
Southampton are an empty shell of what they were last year. Westham have made absolutely brilliant signings and i expect them to at least tie if not win this fixture, lets see if westham can really get going once andy carrol resurfaces....and uh yea i totally agree with morning star
taider loan cancelled by southampton
Southampton were so abject against West Brom & West Ham will have confidence after smashing Palace last week. Southampton also have a bad record against Fat Sams west ham at upton park. West Ham will probably sit back & Southampton dont have the quality to break them down imo. Hammers as a consequence will score a couple from long balls down the middle.
2-0 West Ham for me
1-0 or 1-1
