Since Aston Villa is going to be relegated, please get Idrissa Gueye Mr. Wenger. Though on a losing team...the dude can play.Technically a very good defensive midfielder!
Forster was unbelievable. I've been a fan of his since his Celtic days and was surprised Soton were the biggest club to go in for him. It was like he had 3 arms at times and only really the absolute cream of world class keepers are as good or better pure shot-stoppers. There's more to keeping than that of course but he's certainly a better bet for England than Hart. It's impossible to really fault our team, we limited Soton to 2 real chances and we had 7 or so of our own, most of which were saved by a man in top form and the other put over the bar by Kos. Gotta get back to winning ways against Bournemouth.
@TacticalMastermind2.0- Yep stopping Celtic lose by a cricket score to Barcelona in particular. I know he got 9.9 in this game but for all intents and purposes it was a 10/10 performance. Can't imagine any all-time great keeper doing any better.
@Mohamed_Shaker- Wenger on Elneny after the burnley game: "He needs to adjust to the power of the game in the Premier League, but this was a good welcome today and certainly he has learned a lot. It will take him some time to adjust to the power side of our game here but his intelligence, mobility and the technical level are good.".
@neumi17- He was very good. Created 10 chances and had a lovely control & shot in 1 movement in the 1st half which was saved. He and Sanchez (and Cazorla when he's fit) link up very well and did so today. I don't really care if Oezil dribbles with the ball or not. He doesn't have pace so when he does do, it's only really a couple of yards to get into space so he can hit a pass he's seen.
with Sanchez back, I am more assured tbh. Elneny or Chambers should come in for Flamini and Ramsey must get his confidence back. he's been poor in last few games. Walcott should come in on the right wing where he's played all his life and should he not perform then Campbell should come on. Walcott has a goal in him abit more than Campbell who is a harder worker but lacks in finishing! Giroud and Sanchez should score both one each and I fancy Ozil getting a couple of assists and probably a goal as well. Sanchez MoM. Arsenal 3:1 COYG!
Whoscored thrashed the BBC into silence about their premiership predictions last time out (2/10 with no correct scores). BBC have chosen to embarrassingly try to get away with printing their FA Cup results instead. Not quite the same competition. Tonight's games should be interesting. A draw will not stop Spurs potentially leap frogging them into second place should they beat Norwich & other results go their way. A must win game for the Gunners.
I fancy Ramsey partnering with Coquelin in central midfield for this match and subsequent EPL games. Elneny will be more suited to partner with Flamini, maybe in FA cup games, as he (Elneny) is more defensive minded and could easily cover up for Flamini's weaknesses. I think Campbell may have succeeded to win the fight for a starting spot ahead of Ox and Walcott. He deserves it, to be fair. Iwobi is seriously impressing at no 10 lately; good to know we have a cover for Ozil though he is a different type of player and no way near being as creative as the german . Arsenal to win this 3-1. Ramsey MOTM.
I wonder if the last match was an aberration, or if Koeman discovered something, that the refs will let you get away with being aggressive against Arsenal, even Chelsea and Man City have used this tactic in the recent past. It will be sad if English football is changing Koeman, because last season they didn't need to play like a Pulis team, they got good results playing good football.
Soton have been our bogey team since their last promotion to the prem but that's only really at St. Mary's. At home we've generally played ok so I don't expect any less than a draw here. Oezil will be back, Alexis will start, Coquelin probably also (next to Ramsey), Mertesacker has served his 1-game ban so will come back in looking to make up for the/his poor display away to the Saints. Chamberlain should start ahead of Walcott too with Giroud up front providing he isn't carrying any leftovers from his recent injury. I'll go with 2-0 Arsenal but with the 2nd coming late on.
@Overmars BFG should be back if Wenger picks him that is. You only get a 3 match suspension if the red card you got was for violent conduct, otherwise just a 1 match ban.
@Overmars- Yep, he should be back because the straight red wasn't for violent conduct. I've seen a few online articles saying he'll miss 3 games. Unless the rule has been changed so now ALL straight reds are 3-game bans then they are incorrect and it's actually 1-game which includes domestic cups.
@SteveHyland Would prefer Austin to start as he doesn't have the mobility or 'edge' to his game Long has. I expect Long to start and Austin to come off the bench like their game vs Man United.
Forster 9.9 blows my mind for this game.

@SteveHyland Yes, Forster is better than any English keeper. I've been saying this since he played for Celtic in the Champions League.

Why elneny didn't have a chance ?
@Mohamed_Shaker- Wenger on Elneny after the burnley game: "He needs to adjust to the power of the game in the Premier League, but this was a good welcome today and certainly he has learned a lot. It will take him some time to adjust to the power side of our game here but his intelligence, mobility and the technical level are good.".
11 shots on target and no goal.
@neumi17- Thanks to a Neuer-esque performance by Forster. Had this been a 4 or 5-0, nobody could've complained.
Didn't see the game but Özil must have been good. He only manages 5 dribbles when he has a good day.
@neumi17- He was very good. Created 10 chances and had a lovely control & shot in 1 movement in the 1st half which was saved. @neumi17 And 10! key passes...
4 Games 4 Clean Sheets. Fraser Forster man mountain. Massive frame - impossible to beat haha!!
Well played Forster, outstanding goalkeeping display.
Devastating :(
Forster robbed me of 150£ ... I played Tottenham, West Ham, Man City and Arsenal to win their games.
@Fromhell Take the man to court
@dSquib Nah, wouldn't ever punish a soccer player for doing their very best when the heat is on.
Arsenal back where they should be at 4th place. Say bye bye to the title and hello to 4th place.
@denisgrad- Lol, says the Canadian fan of a decade-old football team.
Draw i guess 2-2
BENCH: Ospina, Mertesacker, Chambers, Gibbs, Coquelin, Chamberlain, Walcott.
OFFICIAL: Cech, Bellerin, Gabriel, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Campbell, Oezil, Alexis, Giroud.
0-2, Arsenal has experienced their typical dip and are facing a resurgent Southampton.
2-1
2-0/3-0

Tricky game, but Arsenal Should Win
1-1
Arsenal 1-0 Southampton. Özil MOTM.
arsenal win
2-3 FULL goals //// possible scores 2-1;1-1
arsenal 1-1 soton

Arsenal win this game.
2-1 Arsenal. Ozil assist and Sanchez goal and MOTM.

@What4 I think Koeman is using aggression temporarily until he can strengthen the Southampton squad and find a true replacement for Schneiderlin.

Saints to at least obtain a draw from the emirates
Southampton won't be broken down 0-2
Is BFG still suspended ?
@daja411 I think he is back after serving the suspension vs Burnley.
@Overmars BFG should be back if Wenger picks him that is. You only get a 3 match suspension if the red card you got was for violent conduct, otherwise just a 1 match ban.

2-1 to arsenal
Badly, badly need revenge for the 4-0 loss away recently. Esp that c*nt Shane Long for tripping Kos on one of the goals.
@Overmars- Will he play now they have Austin? Long's pace is a worry with our ultra-high defensive line but I'd be shocked if Austin doesn't start.
@SteveHyland Would prefer Austin to start as he doesn't have the mobility or 'edge' to his game Long has. I expect Long to start and Austin to come off the bench like their game vs Man United.
0-4
@TacticalMastermind Same ref?
@TacticalMastermind- Ha, cheeky sod. Lol
