Some embarrassing moments for Rambo. Great skill and running to get into goal scoring positions but then massively let down by poor decision-making and selfishness in front of goal.
Those questioning Ramsey's ability (as opposed to his form- and there's a big distinction between the 2), must not have seen him in 2013/14 when he was the best player in the league and 1 of the best CMs in the world prior to being injured. Since then he's had sporadic appearances in his favoured CM role (largely due to Cazorla's brilliant passing range and general game management skills). Ramsey has missed big chances in the last 2 games but we still won both of those and I have no doubt with, realistically, the rest of the season in the CM role he will get back to the archetypal scoring box-to-box midfielder we love so much in this country.
@SteveHyland Please. The past is the past. Ramsey HAD a great 2013-14 . He can never maintain that as we have seen in folowing 2 seasons. Just cayse of that good season, people hyped him and compared him to gerrard and lampard. Cause of which his ego reached the roof. And now he does not pass to anyone in better positions. Always glory.
@dovahkiin- No you don't seem to get the fact that talent never goes. Puskas still had his amazing touch at 70. It's only fitness, pace and the ability to recover from injuries which goes/can change. When since 2013/14 did Aaron have a substantial injury-free run in the team at CM? Ramsey has not long turned 25. He isn't some 34-year old who was overrated by the English media but now who's time has gone (aka Carrick). Once he regains his fitness, confidence etc, he'll make the right decisions and score his chances just as he did in 2014. With Cazorla out for the season in all likelihood, Aaaron will have a chance to play consistently in his preferred decision. Fingers crossed he remains injury-free. He deserves some luck with the graft he puts in. Wish he was English.
@SteveHyland Well I have been hoping on Ramsey for at least the last 14-15 months. Yes he was injured which makes it more worse for us(its better we get rid of injury prone players..) but he has let me down all the time. NEVER has he impressed going forward. Its all about him . He does not see his team mates. Why he does this ? No idea. Maybe trying too hard to get the goals that he scored in 13-14 ? Whatever it is , i prefer santi to ramsey. In the meantime hope he does not screw up as always.
Newcastle played very well. If they continue to play like that, it's unfathomable the results wont eventually go their way. As for us, well... we won after playing badly. They're the games that win you the league. Hopefully it's finally our year.
Arsenal don't play like a team when Ramsay, Walcott and Ox have the ball. Each try their own play. The few times they actually play fast in favor of the team good things happen, but that doesn't happen and usually Ozil is involved in those plays as well. Alexis and Cazorla need to get back in the pitch soon if Arsenal want to keep their title chances alive
@The_Analyst IDK how to respond your comment but somehow there's few articles out there that provide facts and statistic that said even tho Cazorla was like a mastermind but he is less effective than Aaron Ramsey, that's why when we're missing Ramsey, arsenal was like losing half of his heart
We had a lot of attacks down the wings, most of which came to nothing. Oxlade-Chamberlain isn't taking on and beating players like he used to, and I don't think Bellerin has been as good offensively of late as many people have been saying. We haven't really been using Walcott to get in behind recently either. Maybe we should try more attacks down the middle with Ramsey and Ozil, pinging passes back and forth with the wide players, those two are after all our in form midfielders.
Newcastle were indeed better until we scored, then we were the better side. If Man U under Sir Alex had put in this performance everyone would be purring about how they were playing like champions, winning games even though they're not at their best.
@dovahkiin You mug, because he isn't the greatest player in the world in every single game it means he's awful? Your reasoning is awful. He's been mostly playing very well since Cazorla got injured.
@What4 he is a fuc*ing selfish twat. Always goes for glory when there is a much better option. Selfish guy needs to be benched once wilshere or cazorla are back.
@What4 yeah he beat 2 players ...so what? What matters is the end product. Imagine we were 1 nil down...ramsey would still go for glory. Then every1 would be cussing at him . He is just a showboat and an average player who had a good 2013-14. Not good enough for arsenal.
@dovahkiin Or, imagine he never made the run to start with, or his first touch was horrible, or his played a sideways pass, then there would have been no chance of a goal, instead he beat two players and created a chance that wasn't there and that many other players wouldn't have even created. Keep your clueless opinions to yourself, please, name a better CM in the league, other than Cazorla.
@What4 CM in the league? Kante ? Drinkwater ? Loads better than overrated Ramsey. And you speaj about chances created ? Hiw will they be created when ramsey assumes a no 10 role mid game and pushes ozil out wide? Ramsey comes in the middle, does not pass to ozil, where the hell will the chances come from? Who has been the most effective creator of chances ? Its ozil and this ramsey twat shuns him with his failed heroics. See the stats, when ramsey gets more od the ball, ozils passes per game decrease. Hence chances created decrease. You are deluded.
@dovahkiin Lol, Kante and Drinkwater, well done. And why are talking about Ramsey as a no.10 when he's a CM? You have completely missed the point of what I said. Try reading the comment you are replying to first.
All the stats point to a 3-0 win for Arsenal but, if Wenger plays BFG (Mertersacker) Newcastle will have a chance with Wijnaldum playing off his shoulder.
@albgunn- The 11 goal-scoring opportunities is possible but the 2 assists depend on Walcott and Giroud putting the chances in. If they have the same boots on that they did against Bournemouth then Oezil wont get any assists. Partly why I dislike that stat when used as an indicator of a player's creative skills.
Not gonna argue against an Arsenal win here but i've been very impressed with our defence in the last few games, i don't see Arsenal scoring 3 and most likely a repeat of the earlier game in the season. 1-0.
I've not always believe in the idea of playing Chambers in midfield, but I must admit he was impressive against Bournemouth. He might get another start ahead of Flamini who is just coming back from an injury. I think Wenger will definitely give Gabriel another start after a brilliant last outing, maybe resting Per. Moreal is likely to be recalled here.
McClaren is trying to get his team playing good, dynamic, penetrating football but he cannot get the players to execute his game-plan. I think this will be a big Arsenal win. 3-0. But I hope Newcastle see they have a decent coach.

@SteveHyland Exactly right, most football fans can't think further back than a week or so.
@SteveHyland Please. The past is the past. Ramsey HAD a great 2013-14 . He can never maintain that as we have seen in folowing 2 seasons. Koscienly 8.6 MOM. Why? his stats don't support this rating. Chic is MoM.
@sampo I had to check if Chicharito really plays for Arsenal or Newcastle... But you apparently meant Čech, right?

@What4 Ramsey is utter rubbish

Dominating big teams and not getting anything, typical from us, hopefully bounce back from the championship.
Undeserved for Arsenal, been outplayed by a stronger Newcastle.
Ramsey should be on the damn bench.He is awful. Tries to showoff and try ridiculous lobs. Wilshere will show him the bench.
@dovahkiin Most overrated player of his generation. In the 90th minute it was the second sitter he missed on two games.
@BeautifulLoser Right, just ignore the driving run from deep, and beating two Newcastle players, just focus on him narrowly hitting his shot wide.
@What4 yeah he beat 2 players ...so what? What matters is the end product. Imagine we were 1 nil down...ramsey would still go for glory. Then every1 would be cussing at him . He is just a showboat and an average player who had a good 2013-14. Not good enough for arsenal.

@dovahkiin Absolutely agree with that.
2-2 draw
will be show, 5-0 or 4-2, many goals
arsenal 2-1 nc
To Erase the big defeat on Southampton, Arsenal have to win , at least a 2-0 clean sheet would be perfect ! Ozil MOTM !
Normally if 1st spot plays 18th I would predict an easy win but that is Arsenal we are talking about
@shamilprog Sad to say but a bit true !
Arsenal 4-0 Newcastle. Ozil MOTM.
2 - 0
All the stats point to a 3-0 win for Arsenal but, if Wenger plays BFG (Mertersacker) Newcastle will have a chance with Wijnaldum playing off his shoulder.
I see Ozil creating 11 goal scoring chances and 2 assist in this game! Newcastle have nothing to beat Arsenal with!
@albgunn And Perez as well ..
@albgunn Wijnaldum, Sissoko ...

Newcastle must buy if they want to build something... Arsenal must win easily, if they want PL title.
Not a fan of Walcott as a CF but Giroud needs a break plus chamber should start again to build his confidence
@daja411 Playing Oxlade-Chamberlain and Campbell will let someone else have a rest. I wish it would happen, but I don't think it will.
I've not always believe in the idea of playing Chambers in midfield, but I must admit he was impressive against Bournemouth. Giroud likes scoring against Newcastle too.
Think we may win this but it won't be as easy as some fans think. Wijnaldum, Perez and Sissoko are the danger men. Arsenal win 2-0. Ozil MOTM.
@Overmars Mitrovic is also a danger man. A danger to our players' shins.
4-0
McClaren is trying to get his team playing good, dynamic, penetrating football but he cannot get the players to execute his game-plan. I think this will be a big Arsenal win. 3-0. But I hope Newcastle see they have a decent coach.
