Arsenal fans should be more humble.
You got to play with your feet on the ground.
within a few weeks people will want to sell Ozil again.
The premier is sick of money, half of the star players are not stars
4 against Madrid, 7 against Arsenal sounds fair. These big clubs are actually Barca's easiest games since they're too arrogant to park the bus or play for their lives like Celta or Bilbao.
@Tms Bilbao played for their lives because that was their only trophy in 27 years. Arsenal will be arrogant thinking they are the best club in the best league in the world.
@ChaoticReaper- Lastly, Southampton are our bogey team. Every team has one. Since they were last promoted, we have won just 2 points from a possible 12. Given the respective form of the teams I hoped this would be the match to buck that trend but obviously not. Credit for today's win has to go primarily to Koeman. Tactically he is excellent. He can tailor a game-plan per opponent and has bought players who are able to carry out his ideas. It hasn't always worked, largely because Southampton don't have the pulling power to buy (and most importantly) keep the quality he requires to be able to consistently execute his ideas but in one-off situations, it can work brilliantly.
@ChaoticReaper- Firstly, your reasoning is flawed since Arsenal and Real Madrid haven't played each other this season for you to determine which of the 2 are better. Until you see a game between those 2, how can you predict Arsenal are a 3-goal, if any, worse team than Real- because Madrid pummel the bottom 10 in La Liga? Pretty sure Arsenal would do the same when faced with the same game-plan. Secondly, Celta did not park the bus against Barcelona. They had 44% of the ball, the same number of shots (and shots on target) and had more chances to score than the 4 they did. Thirdly, I heard the same rubbish before the Bayern game. We were definitely going to lose 4, 5, even 8-0 yet we created 3 times the amount of genuine chances, restricted Bayern to very few and ultimately kept a clean sheet. Bayern's first XI are as good as Barca's and they have stronger depth. If any team can beat them than that same team can beat anybody else.
@ChaoticReaper- We're talking about THIS season and Bayern would be a match for Barcelona over 2 legs, could very well win and I would back them to win. Ignoring Lewandowski and Messi, if you had 3 key injuries in both teams then Bayern would be able to replace with a player about 90% as good. Barcelona clearly can't.
@ChaoticReaper Yes, and you know why? Because half of the team and all star players were missing! For that they were pretty good. I'd like to see Barca in Munich without Messi, Neymar and Suarez against the best line up of Bayern. Barcelona wouldn't look nearly as good than as Munich did in Barcelona with their C team...
Unbelievable... Bet Leicester win based on the defensive "quality" of my Liverpool side of late, they get a clean sheet. Bet Arsenal wins to go top of the table and now they're down 2-0.
I think 0:2 and Ozil to up his assist tally to 16/17 for 2015! Southampton are a good side and have been tough against Arsenal but Arsenal have too much firepower right now and can damage any team. COYG!
I'd go for a hard fought 0:1 Arsenal win. We haven't beat Soton away in 12 years! They are in terrible form and it looks like an easy 3 points, but I doubt it will be easy. 3 points are all that matters. It's time for Leicester to drop points. I hope I'll celebrate the new year from the top of the table! COYG!
Should be a relatively simple Arsenal win. There doesn't seem to be much defensive discipline within this Southampton team, there are concentration lapses (in pretty much every game) and they don't look particularly incisive in attack either. Pretty much everything Koeman would envisage being present in a team he manages is currently missing, not helped by a vastly under-performing midfield. I'm a big fan of his and I believe he will turn it around for Southampton but for this game, I'll go 2-0 Arsenal.
@SteveHyland Pretty much said everything I was going to say. My only other thoughts is that although this game sreams and Arsenal win, if just one oftheir players eats too much Xmas turkey, there could be problems, they really are threadbare at th moment. But forget that, I think Arsenal 3-0.
@SlippinJimmy- Yep, the 3 games in 8 days will test our squad depth, or lack of. Ideally you'd rest a fair few of your most important players for the home game against Bournemouth on the 28th but yet again for another season, for whatever reason(s), we don't have that luxury. I'm particularly worried about Oezil and Koscielny. We don't really have genuine alternatives and both need a break. No disrespect to Bournemouth but Wenger will probably feel he can rest the 2 aforementioned players for that game. I hope he does at least.
Arsenal played 6 key passes. Ozil played 4. Lol.
English teams are very low at European level , we can see every year

poor streak for southampton.... maybe stop. .... and stoppppp

@ChaoticReaper you didnt watch barcelona against celta neither against bilbao
@Tms Celta played really attractiv football that day!Bilbao were just pressing well and took their chances.
@Tms Bilbao played for their lives because that was their only trophy in 27 years. Arsenal will be arrogant thinking they are the best club in the best league in the world.

@SteveHyland Bayern had 0 shots on goal against Barcelona at the camp nou, they are our inferiors.

@ChaoticReaper Im a barca fan, but I know we were lucky that day, Bayern was in poor form
4rsen4l
@XsTream- Yes very clever. Never heard that before. However, what you have written is 'Fourrsenfourl".

Terrible performance from The Arsenal. Fair play Southampton, well done.
Classic Arsenal.
Wreckless challenge from Wanyama not given a yellow.
@What4 you're 3-0 down for Christ's sake quit crying
@TacticalMastermind Two goals that shouldn't have stood? I'm talking about the terrible officiating.
@What4 4-0 :-)
And that was never a corner, Koscielny never touched it. The officials are having a terrible game.
TERRIBLE...
Arsenal need some new back line players.
Unbelievable... Bet Leicester win based on the defensive "quality" of my Liverpool side of late, they get a clean sheet. Bet Arsenal wins to go top of the table and now they're down 2-0.
Jesus Christ, Moss is letting Southampton get away with whatever they want!
Long clearly tripped Koscielny before the goal. He should be off.
damn , that goal was quality !
Gunners for a win. Ozil will get an assist > this guy is just unreal.
@theyellowduke oh my.... what a disgrace.
ARSENAL NEEDS LVG for win all :)

soton 3-1 Arsenal
Arsenal will score at least 2goals

I think 0:2 and Ozil to up his assist tally to 16/17 for 2015! Southampton are a good side and have been tough against Arsenal but Arsenal have too much firepower right now and can damage any team. COYG!
