Which concludes this weeks premier fixtures and predictions but how did our sample of experts do?
1st:...Paul Merson (Sky Sports) 90 points (3/10 correct results which included 2 perfectly predicted scores (Arsenal 2 Leicester 1; Swansea 0 Southampton 1). 2nd....WhoScored 60 points (3/10 correct results with 1 perfect score (Man City 1 Spurs 2). 3rd.....Mark Lawrenson (BBC) 30 points (3/10 correct results. No perfect scores).
one of the least deserved wins i've seen in a while, that penalty decision was disgraceful, meant to be one of the best referees in the country, says a lot about the quality of officials in England
A day of contentious penalty decisions. Who would've thought with Atkinson and Clattenberg in charge? This time it helped determine the result so the PGMOL will be far happier than they were after watching wasteful Rowan's performance earlier on. Iheanacho impressed me again. They looked far more dangerous after he came on. Makes me wonder whether City should go 3-5-2 in de Bruyne's absence and look to outgun teams. City's lack of even a half decent defensive midfielder has cost them. A Coquelin/Matic/Kante would've stopped Lamela walking through the middle which in turn would've prevented Otamendi engaging the ball rather than leaving Eriksen to drift into open space. It was a good finish but the chance itself was preventable. Hardly a Maradonna'86 run.
@SteveHyland Agree with everything you said man. It almost feels like the worst thing (other than De Bruyne being injured) that could happen to City was the early announcement of Pep Guardiola's move in the summer. Delph is no good, Fernando is no better, Toure is expecting a cake on his exit. Silva is a shadow of himself. As much as it pains me to say it, I think City's players of this season have become what Zenit under AVB has become... solely concentrated on Champions League to justify a big money transfer. Well, there's always China?
@JCAlumni- I actually feel for Silva and I wouldn't discount him just yet. He needs a solid midfield behind him so he can roam with freedom. Pep's teams are built on almost impenetrable midfields so I'm sure we'll see a great David Silva next season. I don't, incidentally, see Yaya, Delph or Fernando being anywhere near the starting XI. Fernandinho has a lot of work to do but has shown glimpses in his time there. Maybe he is suffering from not having a sturdy DM next to him too?
Very careful performance by Tottenham, their passing was horrible at times. Especially Kane had a weak game and full backs offered little attacking threat. I was really surprised not to see Davies and Trippier to start. Penalty was wrong decision, but winning the goal was fantastic play from Erik boys!
Without Silva, De Bryune, and Navas. I watched the last two City games and Sterling seems to play too centrally - almost like a forward (whether that's intentional or not) without utilizing his creativity and speed to much effect. In short, City will lack width & creativity coming into this game. They also have shown to be vulnerable in defense. The first 'real' test for Kevin Wimmer as a capable deputy for Vertonghen to face Aguero and Iheanacho, but I feel Tottenham can nick this. 1-2 Spurs
Losing Kevin De Bruyne is a HUGE loss to City and i said the same thing the last game. Ya Ya Toure knows that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season after the announcement that Pep is taking over and that news has totally deflated him. (Pep sold Ya Ya when he was at Barcelona for people who don't know). On the comments i have just made i fully expect to see a rampant Spurs to take the three points 1-2 to the Spurs.
1-1, both teams are very offensive but with great goalies, I think they'll cancel each other out. If I had to bet on a team to win though, it would have to be Spurs.
What a title defining weekend. The winners of the Arsenal-Leicester and Tottenham-City games get a surge. With my badge proudly worn, I'm going for an Arsenal 2 niller, and hoping Tottenham and City grind out a draw. But what a weekend to look forward to!
Man.C no respect for F.A Cup

A penalty from nothing. I think England has the worst referees in top football leagues now. Absolutely undesereved results: both win and loss
Spurs passing was the worst I've seen all season today, and they still came away from this with three points.
@benforman That's harsh, Spurs were the better team today and deserved the win
How was Toure not booked in the first half, let alone leaving the pitch scot-free...?

@JoeB91 It was undeserved, Spurs were the better team today. Deserved all three points. You're probably just bitter
@JoeB91- And you know he and Atkinson will commit howlers at the Euros to further embarrass this country.

Dunno if the "Guardiola-to-city" announcement was made a few months too early.. happy Sunday for all Spurs fans!

A liverpool with sturridge fit by far better than these 2 teams
@modric1997 Not really, not with our goalies and CBs.
Walker has higher rating that Rose? How is that possible?
Kane's work rate is exemplary.
I've seen the first half, now I think I'll go and watch my grass grow for some real entertainment.
wow 77 comments. Man of the match @jeu 54 comments whoscored.com record YAY. Congrats @jeu for setting spamming record. I'm so proud of u.
@Ffaris Come on you @jeu!!!! :-)
@Ffaris I will someday break the record

kkkkkk (hahahaha)
tottenham <3 amooo
esse titulo e nosso vai spurs
0-1 or 0-2 for Tottenham. Their game is working so well right now and it takes some time before City are back to their feet.
2-2 Spanish coaches arragement
@koziol.mutant Pellegrini is Chilean and Pochettino is Argentinian.
City will be lucky to get a point of of this game but Aguero or Iheanacho will also score. If Kompany plays City will be favorites for the tie.
Sheikh Mansour's Royal Oil Fields FC 3 - Spurs 1
I'll go 1-1. Hart MOTM
Spurs win...
tottenham no comando UCL 2016/17

Manchester City 1-2 Tottenham
Wonder if Guardiola's "agreement" to join City has a "no Europa League" clause, or if he'd need one to back out. Hmm.

If Spurs keep Aguero out of goals then they will win
Man City's injuries piling up. Kompany set to return for this match but I don't see it being enough. Spurs win 3-1.
It'll be a draw.
vamos tottenham
go spurs...<3
Spurs win
2-2 but I won't be surprised if Spurs win by a goal.

Huge implications on the title here. Whoever wins will likely be the one challenging Leicester this season. Hopefully Spurs come through!
@Skrong- Challenging Leicester for 2nd maybe. :-p
Big matchday. The top 4 teams are playing each other. Im hoping for a Leicester win and a draw for Spurs and City.
