Chelsea
Tottenham
- Thiabut Courtois serves the second of his two-match ban, with Asmir Begovic expected to deputise between the sticks once more.
- Eden Hazard looks set to keep his place in attack following his return from injury against Bournemouth, while Gary Cahill should return from illness in time to partner Branislav Ivanovic at the heart of the defence.
- Kurt Zouma and Loic Remy are sidelined for the the Blues here, but Michael Hector and Lucas Piazon have been recalled from their loan spells at Reading and could feature in some capacity, while John Terry could be fit enough to start.
- Dele Alli accepted his misconduct charge following an altercation with Claudio Yacob in the 1-1 draw with West Brom and misses out through suspension.
- Mauricio Pochettino has a number of options to cover his absence, but could bring Ryan Mason into midfield with Mousa Dembele pushed further forward, though Heung-min Son and Nacer Chadli are available.
- Nabil Bentaleb misses out with a knee problem, while Eric Dier is a doubt following a concussion sustained against the Baggies.
Every Spurs outfield player who lasted 90mins got booked... Disgusting
@TheRedCard you wanted non of them to last 90 minutes? lol
@TheRedCard Funny considering your username.
@TheRedCard whats so bad about that kiddo
Congrats to Leicester. They've played for each other and the manager all season long, have been the only consistent team and have beaten some big clubs on the way so nobody can say they aren't deserving winners. The Pulis-esque tactics from their defensive players and Vardy's diving have taken the gloss off somewhat but considering they were "definitely" going to be relegated with Ranieri the first manager sacked, they've done ok. :-p . Hopefully they keep their good players and Ranieri is given money to add to the squad next season. With new managers at Man City, Chelsea, all likelihood Man Utd and possibly Arsenal, added to a Spurs team with a nice blend of youth and experience, it will be extremely tough for Leicester to even get into the top 5 next season but I'm sure I wasn't the only one who thought bottom 6 this season so who knows.
LEICESTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that history has been made, the party can begin at Leicester City and King Power Park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crazy season... Congratulations to Leicester City!!!! As an Arsenal fan, as much as it pains me to say this, but spurs have developed into a good and consistent team, they have the youngest team in the league, and an ambitious, talented young manager. I'm sure they will add to their squad in the summer. It brakes my heart to see them finish above us, unless something miraclus happens and they implode in the next two games. Unfortunately we have ourselves to blame, Arsenal have an imbalanced squad, we didn't improve on last season. This summer might be the biggest summer in Arsene Wengers career as are manager, and could be a historic one for the club based on his decisions. He has one more year on his contract and the Arsenal fans are dived with there opinons about the manger and how the club is being run. All i can hope for is the best, no more time for sentiment, players who aren't good enough to help us win trophies and injury prone player should be replaced with better players.
@demonion- I don't think our personnel is the problem, after all Leicester have won the league and have beaten clubs with better players along the way (albeit not Arsenal). The difference is they have a manager who has installed a fearless confidence into the players and in turn has developed an unbreakable team spirit. It sounds cliché but team spirit goes a long way in sport. Wenger keeps saying we have it but 12 years without a trophy despite having players as good as (or better than) the winners during that timeframe says otherwise. Injuries don't help but I find it difficult to believe it is just poor luck since we have the most detrimental injuries every season. Every problem we have is directly traceable to Wenger and it will not change while he is in charge. Einstein said insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If Wenger sees out his contract, we know what will happen next season- 3rd or 4th in the league and QF in the CL.
Finally Leicester has won the EPL means that Ranieri, at the age of 64, has finally won a major league after 30 years as manager of 16 team in all his career !! WHAT A COACH He achieved the success he so richly deserved
What a day! Leicester win the league! Amazing! Brilliant! Congratulations all around!
I have to say that has to be one of the worst refereeing I've seen in a long time. And that is supposed to be the England's best referee... He basically escalated the entire game with his nonchalant and limp attitude. There should have been at least two sent offs...at least one on each side.
@moo13 what about leicester-west ham?
2-0 up nd you Spursed it up! 2-0 up and you Spursed it up!...I'm loving this slapstip Spurs implosion! Well done Chelsea for being less than disgusting for one day in your history and mashing up some spuds! Long live Ranieri!
Lester champion !!!
Sensational goal from Hazard. Now he can retire to PSG.
it was clear chelsea won`t try to win this game, abramovich and levy already agreed on the score
@tar88s lol, my stupid internet, after the page refresh I was still shown final score was 1-2. Please disregard the above, Chelsea did a damn good job for Leicester and did their best in the 2nd half! WOOOW, it did happen! I think such a things never happened in a football history, I only remember kaiserstautern championship in 1998 that can be something like that. But nineties - that was completely another story, money wasn`t deciding everything in football
hazard has really shone today
@libehv he's "shone" in what poor form he is
@Terry you've got it spot on
It's very touching to see Costa paying tribute to Gerrard like that.
Very impressive Tottenham, good runs behind defense + many players able to set each other through with very hard press is deadly combination. Very intensive game, you don't often see so much passion and hate on the pitch. Pochettino should substitute at least one of their carded defenders and calm down his players, a red card seems to be only threat for them at the moment.
@Castle Ha! Me and my big mouth! Tottenham focused only on fouling in the second half.
dembele is probably getting a forced rest for the next game - completely unnecessary action by him if chelsea get's the spurs stirring then the cards will make the next game quite difficult for the spurs
Good, let's allow Leicester to celebrate the title at their own stadium and not on their sofas!
@hindy i celebrated on my sofa last night with a chinese meal, and will continue to celebrate against everton and at chelsea and all summer long. after eden hazards goal ... i offer him my wife. and to all spurs fans well done on pushing us so hard, with such a youmg team you will only improve next season
go lazy Chelsea score goal now, overpaid chickens
Eriksen started interestingly on the right but has moved behind Kane now. Walker has played very dirtily, although almost same could be said of Ivanovic.
John Terry recently appeared on Soccer AM. I suggest everyone goes and watches it, he looks strikingly like Danny La Rue without his wig on.
Chelsea will fight tooth and nail to end Tottenham's title hopes. Players like John Terry know Ranieri well and will have extra incentive to deliver the deciding blow. Tottenham will give everything to win... This match could go either way, depending on how this young Tottenham team handles the nerves. I think that there will be a draw, 1-1, 2-2 or even 3-3.
i will take winning it tonight and just having a party against everton
Chelsea aren't exactly back on track despite they've improved under Hiddink whereas Tottenham have been very consistent and should be very close to victory here. Also, I hope Leicester can win the title themselves against Everton in front of their own crowd, I believe they've deserved that. So Spurs to win 1-2.
2:0
Chelsea to win 2-1 and handing Leicester the title. Sorry to all Tottenham fans but Leicester have deserved it more over the season and over the course of the whole season the table doesn't lie!
Chelsea squad is one of those which improves every game, no real target for them, but Blues really could end up Spurs title hopes. This could be match, where Spurs set piece defending will be tested. I would agree with 1:1 scoreline.
Tottenham's title hopes end here.
1-0 up and you Spursed it up...1-0 up and you Spursed it up... :-)
I think there could be a red card in this game.
Chelsea, you only have 1 job. WIN DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
