Team News

Liverpool
West Ham
  • Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson are both doubts for Liverpool, though could miss out entirely here.
  • Daniel Sturridge, Jon Flanagan and Joe Allen are all sidelined for Brendan Rodgers' side.
  • The Reds boss may name the same side that drew 0-0 with Arsenal on Monday night.
  • Carl Jenkinson and Adrian are suspended, so James Tomkins and Darren Rondolph are set to deputise at their respective expenses.
  • Joey O'Brien and Reece Oxford are doubts for the trip to Liverpool, but are not expected to be available.
  • Enner Valencia and Mauro Zarate are both sidelined for Slaven Bilic, while Diafra Sakho is a doubt for the Croat. However, Andy Carroll is back in training, though is nowhere near match fit.

Prediction

  • Liverpool have made an unbeaten start to the season and are one of three teams yet to concede in the Premier League this term. While they failed to net at Arsenal, the Reds will be confident of returning to winning ways against a disappointing West Ham side.
  • After making an excellent start to the campaign, West Ham lost back-to-back home games to Leicester and Bournemouth. Their hopes of putting another 3 points on the board are slim, however, having failed to win any of their last 6 visits to Anfield, losing 4.
  • Liverpool have started the season strongly and should secure a routine victory in this one.

  • Milner and Benteke joke transfers :)

  • लिव्हरपूल Lol

  • Why is that Liverpool always end up with the wrong Southampton players?

  • @NotBiased Why does Rodgers ruin perfectly good Southampton players?

  • I think Liverpool has just passed Tottenham for being the best at wasting money

  • How is Skrtel at 6.4 is beyond me. First goal was due to his direct error, third goal he stood too far from Sakho who shot it through his legs to score. So he is to be blamed directly for two out of three goals.

  • Where was the "omg fantastic , best in the world" Anfield atmosphere today? Missing for quite a while now. Easily the most overrated set of supporters in world football.

  • @NotBiased It was buzzing at the start actually but obviously it doesn't help when you go 2 goals down. How would you know? Were you watching the match?

  • I really did enjoy being proved right here. I got 14/1 on West Ham winning

  • This ref is card happy, neither were reds

  • @LionelJ no but they were yellows....for players who had already been booked. That's how the double yellow thing works remember?

  • @abright70 Nolan got a straight red so explain that smartass.

  • Another joke of a decision. Kevin Friend should ref the sunday league. Typical example of a ref trying to make somehting right with two wrongs.

  • Considering he was already on a yellow , it was idiotic to go in like that. But refs are lenient in giving the second yellow unless there's a definite violent or foul play. So all in all he didn't deserve the second yellow.

  • Joe Gomez, the kid is more sensible player than Lovren

  • All jokes aside , think it was a bit harsh.

  • Very hard to see a come back now, not every foul is a booking referee.

  • No love for overrated Coutinho? Will definitely miss his long range efforts going in row z oh and 1 out of 20 going in.

  • Just seen the replay of the 2nd goal. Laughable. Up there with the most brainless pieces of defending I've ever seen.

  • Absolutely shocking defending. So much for Liverpool being solid and all that.

  • Lol Lovren and Skrtel...dumb and dumber...

  • @moo13 loool good one

  • @moo13 yep XD

  • Benteke has had a good start but I think he can be even better if Liverpool play to his strength. Just seen an interesting stat that they've crossed the least amount of times in the league this season. If Liverpool can mix things up their attack will be deadly.

  • Firmino will be a terrific signing for Liverpool in the long run. He has been fantastic whenever I've seen him play.

  • Special effort from Coutinho.

  • liverpool is coutinho, enough for 5th place at the end

  • Hope to see Ings take part in this match.

  • I also think Benteke will score in this match.

  • @LionelJ I don't

  • Liverpool need to avoid complacency. Remember West Ham beat Arsenal 2-0 at the emirates so if they play like that it will be a very tough match. Liverpool should win though if they approach the match in the right manner.

  • I think it will be really hard game for LFC,if we talking about scoring goals, but on another side for West Ham it will be very difficult to return to the form and psychologically properly configured for this match. So 2-0 ; 2-1

  • 2-0. Reds look decent thus far.

  • Liverpool haven't conceded yet this season, but over the years the one thing I've learnt about Liverpool is that they're unpredictable. When a game looks like its theirs, they come unstuck. I'm going with a shock win for West Ham, it won't be pretty and there won't be lots of goals. I think 0-1.

  • @SlippinJimmy I see what you mean. Liverpool might concede a goal in this match, but I don't think they will lose. 2-1 I reckon.

  • @SlippinJimmy Keep dreaming...

  • @jchann1 was I dreaming? Or enjoying 14/1 on a West Ham win?

  • @jchann1 says the man that predicted Liverpool would finish in the top four at the expense of Man Citeh..... It's usually about now you predict a 7-0 for Liverpool

  • @SlippinJimmy HAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahahahahahahaha Liverpool over Man Citeh for top 4? Serious?! hahahahahahahahahaha

  • @Overmars I'll tell u a bigger joke.... Arsenal to fight for the title till the end eh ? hhaHAEHEAHEAHAEHAHEHEAHAEHEAHHAHAEHAE no no no wait i have another one.......Arsenal to buy a decent striker .... maybe BENZEMA ??? HAEHEAHAEHAEHEAHEAHAHEHAEHAe no no no n o no no o wait i have the best one yet.... ARSENAL to win the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AHEHEAHEAHEAHEAHEAHEAHHEAHEAHEAHEAHEAHEHAHEHEAHAEHEAHEAHHEAHEAHEAHEAHAEHEAHAEHAE

  • @lustig You need Mental Asylum immediately

  • @lustig I wonder if you'd be saying this if Ramsay's goal hadn't been wrongly disallowed? Or if Benteke's had correctly been disallowed against Bournemouth? If those two decisions were correct, Liverpool would be on four points with one 85th minute goal. I'd take Giroud over any of the five or six strikers on Liverpools forwards.

  • @SlippinJimmy Who are you ? Juna ? Jeasus..If Petr Cech did't have one of his best games ever Arsenal would be 3-4 goals down before HT and facing a complete drumming. Giroud hahahahahahaha pls Id love it if Giroud is your best striking option. PLS GOD YESS !!! Btw Sturridge is 5 times at least better than him and twice as good as Alexis. And just so u know id take Coutinho over all of your pussy midfielders.

  • @lustig how did Coutinho do? Was I right about West Ham winning? I missed the final score..... Dick head

  • @lustig so I guess you're a twelve year old with no knowledge of football. When was the last time Sturridge played? Name one Liverpool player even close to Sanchez? Milner? Lucas? Borini? Ballotelli? Ings? Sakho? Lovren?

  • @SlippinJimmy If if if. Sh*t happens man, get over it. Decisions go for and against every team at some stage in the season. I'd say you would take Giroud alright, right up the a*se.

  • 3-1 Liverpool. Coutinho MOTM.

  • @Overmars No Coutinho against Man U and Lfc were woeful. I was far too generous. Playing 5 at the back and a DM? Defensive and thrashed 3-0.

  • @Overmars Right mate
