  • Arsenal played today like against Barcelona, now you see how Barca is strong

  • Good to see Danny score. He should've scored at least once at the Nou Camp but I'm encouraged by his general movement, the positions he "finds" himself in and the fact he looks as though he has a desire to score. Last season it looked like he would like to score but thought it'd be best helping the team if he got involved in the general play, away from the #9 position's area on the field, and help defend etc then if he was the one to put the ball in the back of the net, that's a bonus. Nope, what Welbeck needs to do is put the clear cut chances away and hold the ball up to bring the wingers and #10 into play and he's done well since coming back from injury- a goal in every 3 shots. Essentially Giroud + Clear chance conversion. We create so many chances, that alone will give us considerable more goals per season. Hopefully he continues to progress. Iwobi was fantastic again too after an excellent game in Barcelona. Shame he's Nigerian not English.

  • Great performance in attack and defence from The Arsenal. And where did this Iwobi kid come from, he's something else!

  • @What4, he certainly looks like he could have a bright future.

  • Iwobi man of match

  • Alexis 6 dribbles, 4 key passes, 6 tackles

  • Is obi man of match

  • Mo out, really ?

  • Sanchez 4 tackles please correct

  • Really a poor game from both sides... The defense of Everton is just ridiculous

  • @Ouftey if your midfielders don't press and let rivals pass the midfield with time and space to think, its hard that the defence be solid

  • @Ouftey it must be if joke Iwobi scored

  • @Ouftey it mus be if joke Iwobi scored

  • 4 minutes until kickoff. If Arsenal win this, I shall devour my underwear and have my socks for dessert. Everton for the win

  • @Fromhell good luck with that

  • @Fromhell Don't you love it when jinxes works? I hope the PL ends with 1-Leicester 2-Tottenham 3-Arsenal 4-West Ham 5-Southampton or Stoke.. Always nice if and when United, Chelsea and City misses the top 5

  • @Fromhell Oh is that what you were doing? Trying to jinx Everton? I thought you were confident that Everton were going to win. I suppose you can't lose if you make a prediction and it's wrong, because then you can just claim you were putting some kind of voodoo curse on the outcome of the match.

  • @mikers135 Yeah I thought this game would end 1 or X for sure, just saying it's "typical" that it bit me in the arse as I was overconfident and made a statement like that. To be honest, about 40-45% of my predictions go belly up but mostly Im glad about it, cause if all predictions were correct there'd be no surprises at all. I almost always root for the underdogs which in this game would be Everton by a hair.

  • @Fromhell I hope your underwear is clean!

  • @Fromhell good appetite

  • @Fromhell you can start :)

  • I hope Sanchez will be on fire again. Even without Stones, Everton could protect their goal net with more experienced Jagielka and Mori. BTW Sanchez will perform in this match. Arsenal win with one goal deficit

  • Paulista in starting XI. Bad one for gunners, Everton to score first goal!

  • Everton one decent striker but poor at the back. Arsenal struggling to score goals - 1-1

  • Arsenal have nice injury list, and no Cech in goal. Lukaku on form, Everton win I think, unless its a scoring draw.

  • 1:2 Arsenal win

  • Everton 0-1 Arsenal

  • Giroud really should be in starting XI, who can score more, Lukaku or Giroud.. Goalkeepers both have got chance to make progress in their role, the following games will be so important for Ospina, he should remember his WC performance. I hope Mr.Wenger will never use Paulista again, but overall, need to be amazing game. Could be 1-1 or 2-2 draw here, but thats all Everton can get, just because 90 minutes in high level are too much for home side.

  • @Underpauler- Ospina has had 3 bad games in his Arsenal career, pretty much the same as Cech has had. What about that save to stop Messi from 6 yards? I'm not a Gabriel fan but he wasn't hopeless against Barcelona so fingers crossed.

  • @Underpauler Well, let's not kid ourselves, Lukaku is already a top striker, even at his age. And Gabriel actually played quite well at the Nou Camp. And Ospina has been playing very well too, you can hardly tell Cech is out.

  • Will Giroud start? He's scored against Everton in the past three matches they have played against each other in the PL. In that case, he will be on the bench. Everton should win, but Arsenal is in desperate need of a win. I'll take the over 2.5 goals. Should be a safe bet. Only thing that worries me is that Wenger is a moron.

  • Arsenal 3-2

  • Everton 2-3 Arsenal. This should be a cracker. This Arsenal team owe Wenger and it's fans. Everton's home form this season puts them just above relegation form. Everton's season is now solely the FA cup, they won't get relegated and they won't get into Europe, so nothing much to play for in the league.

  • Everton to officially end Arsenal's season

  • My prediction is 2-2, Arsenal can score goals, so can Everton. But the latter is inconsistent .

  • dont underestimate Arsenal! At their worse they always shock teams! I make no comparison against Barcelona! Nobody can play the Barca team! Spurs supposedly the better team this season could not beat Arsenal last time with an extra player for a good 40 mins and conceded from Arsenal who had a man down. Arsenal could have easily gotten all 3 points in Tottenham with a man down! Everton yes they beat Chelsea last week but Chelsea have been horrendous all season! Everton been blowing hot and cold this season and they concede a lot at home! If anything a draw is more likely but Arsenal could easily win this tie if Everton are not at their best!

  • @albgunn Talk is cheap.

  • @eastend1 what you mean talk is cheap? I laid down some facts about Arsenal. You sure you've watched them lately? Everton is not a world beater and we all know that but they are still not the better team than Arsenal otherwise they'd be up there with them. This Arsenal squad has beaten Leicester twice this season, beaten Bayern, City, United etc and lost to Swansea, Southampton, West Brom, Sheffield etc. I only stated Arsenal are still a dangerous side and can show up against any team or the opposite.

  • @albgunn Yes, against Swansea, Watford and Barcelona. Hope that helps.

  • @albgunn- And we still created 13 genuine chances against Barcelona. When was the last time a team did that at the Nou Camp? Guaranteed Real Madrid wont get close to that total.

  • @SteveHyland and lost! Stats won't win you anything. Arsenal have won ONCE in their last six away games.

  • @eastend1- Yes and lost, but the fact is a team's potential is evident in the number of chances they create, how much they achieve is down to how many they put in the back of the net. Nobody will create as much against Barcelona again for a couple of seasons unless they play Bayern. In the top 3 leagues, only Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have created more. My point is that Arsenal are seen as a bad team when in fact we're a good team with profligate finishers.

  • @SteveHyland- A caveat I forgot to add was "of the champions league teams". I also have to double check Man City's total cos my information seems low.

  • @albgunn I agree. Both teams have been craptacular, but actually we've been playing well if you look at the under-lying performances.

  • We played well against Barcelona, created more against them than you'd even see Real Madrid do but as is our Achilles heel this season, we missed the chances and lost the game. I keep hoping that the fact we create loads, eventually we will start converting the clear chances at a respectable ratio purely due to probability. I don't remember seeing a team create as much as we do also miss as much as we do. I also, however, don't remember seeing a team with as good a midfield as we have without an equally good striker. I think we'll win this because footballing teams aren't the ones we struggle against (barring the absolute cream- just 2 teams) and Everton will look to attack. 3-1.

  • @SteveHyland steve!! Please watch my youtube titled(fabregas the maestro of passes) . U ll see numbers of assists and chances creation. And u ll see henry bergkamp and adybayour as strikers. In my opinion wenger arrogance stop arsenal from fab (match dictation, intercontinental passes, tiki taka dominationation killing the opponent's energy) .At least he could be as sub to replace or rest ozil or santi. We should, we even must charge wenger for this kind of big big mistake. Now, Arsenal pay wenger short minded decisions. Arsenal = mancity ( great and skillful players who are theoratically unbeatables but perpetually their manager's tactic , zonal plan , vision let them down). I hate media when they hide big teams managers mistakes to keep readers . Its not honnest. We should love arsenal but wenger ,like MOU, should be sacked when there is no result with huge budget.dont forget to watch the youtube please.

  • @sampo- I've already seen that vid but didn't realise you are okm Sampo. I've watched it a few times, brings back good memories! You don't have to tell me Wenger is holding us back, I already agree. I want Koeman in charge. His Soton teams have both defensive solidity and attacking dynamism. He has done that with personnel/resources a half as good as Arsenal's. I understand Wenger didn't want Cesc back because the way he left. From a couple of reports I read, Arsene was extremely upset with Fabregas' decision to move to a club where at best he will be a backup to Xavi and Iniesta (which is how it panned out). Also he seems to have come back to England with a bad attitude, no doubt which he learned in La Liga. I don't mind not having Cesc when Cazorla is in. Cazorla is THE most underrated midfielder in world football. Chances created from a deep-lying position in a 2-1 midfield system is on another level to everybody else but it's true we don't have a good passer as backup. :-(

  • Everton to win here 2-0 and Arsenal are to get back to their favorite 4th place in the league table.

  • Everton's form is up and down. I expect a draw. Which is fine, because as a neutral I wish for Leicester to win the league.

  • @dewaldsa Leicester plays boring football

  • @glenbayern Watch an entire Leicester game. Early in the season especially. Naturally, they have become more defensive because they have to protect their lead, but even so they are in the top few in terms of goals scored. Watch Vardy and Mahrez's goals and count Kante's tackles/interceptions. When you watch Leicester in a tactical sense they are amazing to watch, especially considering where they were a year ago.

  • I can only see us losing this, it could be more than 3 goals. Why? Here are the reasons : 1.We are on the worst run of form since Eduardo's injury in 2008. 2. We play 2 matches (1 vs Watford, 1 vs Barca) in the time Everton play 0. 3. Lukakui and Everton are confident and are in a good run of form and we have nothing to play for, realistically the league and CL are out of reach. 4. The fans are divided and most want Wenger Out, this leads to a divided fan base which reduces unity and permeates down to the team. TLDR: My Prediction 3:0 Everton. Lukaku to score.

  • @Overmars Also meant to say Lukaku MOTM.

  • IMO, Arsenal can afford to drop only 4 points the remaining games, if that. They travel to West Ham and City later. Other than that the run in is favourable. But for that and also mentality reasons they really, really have to win this.

  • @dSquib no chance mate, unfortunately :( . Can't beat Watford or Swansea at home. How the hell do we have a chance vs Everton? Also on the worst run of form since Eduardo's injury in 2008.

  • @Overmars I said they need to, didn't say they would. Everton aren't really in a good run of form, though, they've lost their last two games at home in the league.
