  • Good win as I expected with there being minimal expectation on the team now. Alexis was excellent, in his position where he was world class for Udinese and Barcelona- if badly used by the latter. Iwobi has been superb since coming into the team and the CM partnership of Coquelin and Elneny is proving pretty solid. Oezil was very good at providing again but unless somebody puts 1 or more of the chances he creates in, therefore getting an assist, his performance goes unnoticed due to his semi-languid style and people say he's "quiet".

  • @SteveHyland Well said Steve. All Arsenal truly need now more than anything is a world class striker with pace so Ozil can truly show his class and speed of thought and feet like he did when supplying Ronaldo at Real Madrid. Ronaldo was fuming when Real sold Ozil.

  • Alexis belongs to right at the moment. He played superbly on the left last season but but this year he has tried too hard there and always looked to dribble past every player. Now he has more opportunities to make runs without the ball and cross more. And Iwobi has played so cutting constantly inside. I don't think we even need to buy new winger next season, Iwobi seems to have very much potential.

  • @Castle- I agree, and he's also become pretty predictable on the left due to a mixture of rarely taking the LB on down their right side (due to not wanting to cross with his left foot) and not getting as many free-kicks as he deserves when he cuts infield therefore allowing LBs the freedom to kick him at every opportunity as we have seen in a number of big matches this season.

  • Great performance from Ozil.

  • I just noticed Troy Deeney looks like Sid from the Ice Age movies.

  • 4-0 win, Özil no impact, no assists

  • @neumi17 Please stop commenting on players in games you don't watch.

  • we have to win score for the goal difference at the end of the season if we need it so i think 4-1 for gunners

  • Wonder what the line ups will be

  • 5 x 0 arsenal

  • Arsenal have shown that they can gain that momentum in the end of season run in. It is every season one or two injuries (standard) bring in a couple of new players that really impress! Elneny and Iwobi this time to secure Arsenal maximum points. There's more than 20 points to play for for Leicester, Tottenham and Arsenal. I believe Leicester have won it but if Mahrez or Kante got injuried then Spurs and Arsenal will take advantage and Arsenal are in strong position to displace Spurs for maybe second, if Leicester blow it I think Arsenal have a real chance as Spurs fixtures are the toughest of any team!

  • Arsenal to smash Watford by 4 goals in this game and Spurs to crumble at Anfield. Imagine the though of Spurs players and fans Arsenal catching them and finishing above them! Haha

  • No CL or F.A cup for us so there's no reason not to go all out, win all of the remaining games and see what happens. It isn't inconceivable that Leicester drop points given their fixtures and the increasing pressure that comes with being the media-hyped "favourites" at this stage in the season, ditto with Spurs' young squad. We will realistically need to win 7 of our 8 remaining games and draw the other one. That'll mean Leicester will have to get 11 points from their remaining 7 games and/or Spurs 16 to match our total. Then it comes down to goal difference. It's unbelievable when you consider how many clear-cut chances we've created that we aren't the top scorers in the league by a distance but that has been why we aren't leading the league in points by a distance, why we didn't match Barcelona in the CL, why we're out of the FA. Cup etc etc. If we're to keep alive even the 5% chance we have of winning the title then we'll need to win big so I'm going to be positive and say 3-0.

  • exciting opening 10 minutes for arsenal to amount to nothing. 0-1

  • Must win for Arsenal... my instincts say 5-1, but Arsenal so often flatter to deceive.

  • 2-1

  • 2-0

  • Think an early burst of goals and Arsenal win 4-1.

  • Nervy 1-0 win to the Arsenal.

  • Arsenal 3-1 Watford.
