@MSNTREBLETREBLE thank you. Please read my comments below but some people cannot understand what we clearly saw. Of course the 2nd goal was his fault. He totally misjudged the last moments of the attack and moved away from near post when it was fairly obvious that's where the shot was going to be aimed.
Bernat is good going foward but terrible defensively, the first goal was totally his fault and this is not the first time such a thing happens. And altough Rafinha works harder than Bernat he's not that great when defending either.
Seriously, if you watch the match when Bayern lost 3-0 to Barcelona you will see that the goals came out in a similar way.
Does M.NEUER ever make a save when his defenders are caught on the counter attack early in matches? It seems every time there is a slick counter attack at Allianz Arena all he ever does is pick the ball out of the net.
@Quest
Neuer is the most overrated keeper in recent history. Sure, he's one of the best in saving shots and in winning one on ones, but his positioning and judgment are awful.
@campionesidd I agree that he is over rated. For last 5 seasons he plays in a teams that have high possession and he is rarely exposed to a risk. But time and time again he is beaten out of very few attacks. It would be great if whoscored.com had a stat that exposed just how many times he is beaten when he is under threat. I watch almost all BAYERN MUNCHEN matches and he rarely dominates his area of the pitch, except for when there are no opponents in his half of pitch.
@Quest- Who is better? The only other keeper in world football who has a realistic claim to be #1 is David De Gea which is why Real covet him so much. Purely on shot-stopping ability, Neuer is THE best in the world. He doesn't command his area like a Seaman/Schmeichel/Buffon at their peak but that also has to do with the fact Bayern don't have good CBs like those 3 did/do have. I haven't seen many keepers look confident when they have poor defenders in front of them. Ultimately when you make a list of the things you want in a keeper, Neuer will tick more boxes than any other. Making world-class saves out of nowhere is often the biggest indicator of a top keeper. Most struggle instantly switching on when their team is heavily dominating but Neuer doesn't. He made 2 or 3 saves at the Emirates that no other keeper would make, in a game when they were under pressure like they haven't been since the Barcelona game last season. No keeper has a winning % in 1-on-1s.
@taktiko he was beaten at the near post from outside the box for that 2nd goal. If you watch the replay he totally misjudged what was happening, positioning of others and stepped away from the near post just a moment before the shot was taken. That goal was every bit of his fault as anyone elses yet he was screaming at his defenders, after he was beaten.
์Neuer's reaction on the second goal is funny. It was his fault, very slow reaction, and he dared to blame defenders.

2 horse race again...

@campionesidd Hahaha get out mate.
Bayern needs to wake up... Bayern needs a spice of more creativity
@YMurey all their creative players were out there...
This might just as well happen in the second leg of FCBJUV. Bayern dominating possession, Juve scoring the goal...
Will be a tough game for Bayern, Mainz this season is very good.
Tasci and benatia as CB's.arjen and Douglas should be rested. 4-0 for Bayern.
yeah right, good old Tasci
