Juve midfielder Matuidi completes Inter Miami switch


Inter Miami have confirmed the arrival of former Juventus midfielder Blaise Mautidi on a free transfer.


Juventus agreed to release Matuidi from his contract 12 months early and now the veteran midfielder has penned a three-year deal with the MLS franchise.


The 33-year-old completed his medical in Paris on Monday before becoming Inter Miami's first marquee signing.


David Beckham has been desperately looking to add a high profile European name to his new venture and has already been linked with the likes of David Silva and Lionel Messi.

Beckham spent six months as Matuidi's team-mate at Paris Saint-Germain in the first half of 2013.


Inter Miami have been a poor start to life in MLS and desperately need a change in fortunes having started their season with five straight defeats.


In fact, Inter Miami have had as many red cards as they have scored goals (3) in MLS this season.
