Juventus poised to re-sign Alvaro Morata on loan

Juventus are in talks to re-sign Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.

Andrea Pirlo is depserate to land a new striker before the transfer window shuts after offloading Gonzalo Higuain.

Juventus have pulled the plug on a deal for Barcelona's Luis Suarez and are now struggling to get a deal over the line for Roma's Edin Dzeko.

The Serie A champions have now turned their attention to landing Morata from Atletico on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

Juventus will reportedly pay a €10m loan fee for Morata and a further €45m if they want to make his switch permanent at the end of the season.

Atletico are now looking to offload Morata so they can make room for Suarez, if the the Uruguay international can leave Barcelona on a free transfer.

As per LaLiga rules, Atletico have to offload before they can buy and are now working to send Morata back to Juventus.

Morata's two-year loan stint at Juventus from 2014-2016 was arguably the best spell of his career and he has previously wanted to return to Turin.

The 27-year-old played a direct hand in 27 goals in 53 league appearances for Juventus despite only starting 27 times in that period.
