Chelsea centre-back Millie Bright

 

Champions Chelsea are represented in WhoScored's Women’s Super League Team of the Season having gone through the campaign unbeaten. Stars from Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Everton and West Ham also feature.  

 

Courtney Brosnan (Everton) – 7.07 

 

Everton finished the season eighth, but it would have been worse without Courtney Brosnan’s heroics between the sticks. The Toffees conceded just 32 league goals, the fifth fewest, while Brosnan made more saves (92) to feature with a WhoScored rating of 7.07. 

 

Lucy Bronze (Chelsea) – 7.25 

 

The first of two representatives from champions Chelsea, Lucy Bronze is good value for her place in the squad with a WhoScored rating of 7.25. Bronze was, in fact, worth her weight in gold as she ranked second for interceptions (42) to contribute towards her spot in the side. 

 

Millie Bright (Chelsea) – 7.25 

 

The second Chelsea player in the Team of the Season, Millie Bright ranked among the top 10 players for total clearances (100) and returned a superb 92.3% tackle success rate on her way to a WhoScored rating of 7.25. 

 

 

Maya Le Tissier (Manchester United) – 7.19 

 

Maya Le Tissier partners Bright at the heart of the defence in the Women’s Super League Team of the Season having earned a WhoScored rating of 7.19. Le Tissier was one of only two outfield players to play every minute, and ranked among the top 10 players for clearances per game (4.5). In addition, the United centre-back made more accurate long balls per game (7) than any other outfield player. 

 

Katie McCabe (Arsenal) – 7.21 

 

Katie McCabe rounds off the defence having earned a WhoScored rating of 7.21 this season. McCabe ended the campaign fourth for assists (5), and top for key passes per game (2.6) to justify her spot in the side with a WhoScored rating of 7.21. 

 

Mary Fowler (Manchester City) – 7.27 

 

Mary Fowler features on the right flank having returned a WhoScored rating of 7.27 in 2024/25. The Australian registered more assists (7) than any other player in the Women’s Super League, with 1.8 key passes per game ranking fourth to feature in the side. 

 

Mariona Caldentey (Arsenal) – 7.67 

 

With a WhoScored rating of 7.67, Mariona Caldentey is the Women’s Super League Player of the Season. The Spaniard’s nine league goals was the most of all central midfielders, and fourth overall, and managed five assists, with the latter coming from two key passes per game, the third most in the division, to make the cut. 

 

Grace Clinton (Manchester United) – 7.41 

 

Joining Caldentey in the middle of the park is Manchester City’s Grace Clinton, who is good value for her selection with a WhoScored rating of 7.41. Not only did Clinton score eight goals this season, she also finished second for tackles (86) to nail down her spot in the XI. 

 

Viviane Asseyi (West Ham) – 7.34 

 

Viviane Asseyi was the shining light in a disappointing season for West Ham. The French star scored nine times and provided six assists for the Hammers, while 2.6 tackles and 1.8 key passes per game helped Asseyi to a WhoScored rating of 7.34. 

 

Women's Super League Team of the Season

 

Alessia Russo (Arsenal) – 7.49 

 

No player scored more goals than Alessia Russo (12) in the Women’s Super League this season, the Arsenal striker also finishing the campaign top for shots (73). In addition, Russo also won more WhoScored Player of the Match awards (7) to feature with a rating of 7.49.

 

Khadija Shaw (Manchester City) – 7.41 

 

Despite her injury setbacks, Khadija Shaw did enough to make the Team of the Season with a WhoScored rating of 7.41. Like Russo, Shaw also scored 12 times in the 2024/25 campaign, and averaged more shots per game (3.7) than any other player to feature on the frontline.
