- Ex-PSG midfielder Clement Chantome could miss out playing against his former employers due to a thigh injury.
- Gelson Fernandes is another potential midfield absentee, as the Switzerland international has been struggling with illness this week, but he should be rushed back in time.
- Pedro Mendes is fit again, after sitting a month out with a hip injury, but is unlikely to start from the off. Nicolas Janvier could start after Paul-Georges Ntep's sale.
- Julian Draxler is expected to get a league start out on the left-hand side, with Lucas Moura playing out on the opposite flank.
- Serge Aurier is off to AFCON, so Thomas Meunier is likely to start at right-back, unless Unai Emery is prepared to play Layzin Kurzawa out of position.
- Thiago Motta should be preferred to Grzegorz Krychowiak in midfield, with Alphone Areola expected to be given the nod over Kevin Trapp in goal.
I wonder about the rating of Draxler a bit. He will get an 8.00 rating at least but beside his goal there wasn`t much he did well. He has got the worst pass success with a dismal 69%, zero dribbles, only 2 shots on goal, the least amount of touches of all Paris players and won zero aerials. I don`t want to implicate that he was very bad but his rating doesn`t reflect his performance in my opinion ...
A bit strange to substitute the entire offence when it is only 1-0 ...
Superb start for Draxler ! Second game, second goal ...This will give him a boost for the remaining season ...
