  • HAHA! All you prattling ninnies below can shut up! We're The Arsenal, Kings of the FA Cup! We could even have scored 4 or 5! Brilliant! And great prediction as usual Ben, sterling work fella.

  • A big win for good offensive fotball. Thank you Steve Hyland for good comments, hope to see you next year :)

  • Excellent performance. Started quickly and should've scored a few in the first half. I didn't like when we sat off circa 30-35 minutes in, I think that allowed Chelsea to come back into the game but it's understandable that conservativeness crept in. Mertesacker was superb, Alexis was Alexis and Ramsey's hustle around the pitch was good to see. Oezil was also excellent but people seem to believe if the stats don't show it then he hasn't played well. Hazard was MIA, did literally one incisive pass in the whole game and Costa was kept quiet for 90% of the match. Shows how much of a goalscorer he is that he scored and had another good chance with the remaining 10%. An all-round excellent day and a deserved win. I did like the not-so-subtle dig via the large flag behind 'our' goal- History Tradition Class, none of which you can buy.

  • @SteveHyland It sounds like Arsenal were worthy winners: Congrats! (I'm glad I didn't watch it).

  • Chelsea fan here. Arsenal absolutely deserved it. Chelsea were garbage especially in the first half. First half it was not champions playing but Sunderland. The final score should of been 4-1 it is absolute disgrace performance. If Chelsea start the season the way they started this match, we will finish 10th again. Moses deserves a 1 rating. The only positive from this match - WENGER IN!

  • @denisgrad- Even 4-1 would've been flattering. Based on genuine chances, this should've finished 7-2 but we were profligate with our end product. Chelsea got away with a mauling, the stats above do not reflect the gulf between the respective performance of the sides. As you say, Chelsea were garbage, and were only less than that when Arsenal sat back. I'm glad there will be a ban for dives from next season, I hate it when Arsenal players do it not just opposition, although I'm sure the referees making the correct decision would eradicate a number of them.

  • Wenger IN ))))

  • where is @delfraudiero1100 ? lol

  • @DelJuve lolh ahahaahahaha

  • easy 2-1,

  • Incredibly wasteful player Ozil. Arsenal should be out of sight in this game.

  • The spare CB for Chelsea wasn't necessary. Conte showed a misunderstanding of the game, like many other managers show, by not switching system and bringing on Fabregas sooner. There is simply no need for the spare centre back, especially when Chelsea were playing quite deep and especially when they were trailing. Chelsea now have a red carded player and it hasn't really effected the flow of the match in the slightest as Chelsea had a spare man at all times doing nothing in the back three anyway.

  • @ldeas- The 3-4-3 won them the league in convincing fashion though so I can understand why he kept faith with it. It also has to be said that Arsenal's movement made the 3-4-3 redundant and Conte hadn't seen so many players inhabiting so many different areas of the pitch all season. He does need a plan B though because Spurs and Man Utd both made Conte's tactics look poor during the season and he isn't a poor tactician by any means if you look at what he has done with Juventus and Italy.

  • @ldeas Costa off in the 87th minute. Mastermind Conte strikes again when trailing. Hahahahaha. Utterly clueless manager taking their main goalscorer off at the end of a game. Everything about this game Wenger out-thought and out-substituted Conte from start to finish. Wenger has made Conte look tactically inept today. One of the stupidest chances I've ever seen to take your main goalscorer, who just almost scored and has scored in the game off in the 87th minute. Hahahahaha

  • @ldeas Plus Willian comes on and instantly makes an impact. If a player is on fire throughout the competition including the semi final then you start him.

  • arsenal could be 3-0 up

  • I don't see how Welbeck is on zero tackles at half time? I've seen him make at least 2.

  • Conte needs to bring Fabregas on for Kante, and potentially switch to 4 at the back with a 4-2-3-1 too .

  • handball

  • @A.r.m.e.n I think so too. But it's gone now. He was protecting his face I think. But he's not allowed to have his arms raised up like that and claim it wasn't intentional. I want Arsenal to win, so not that bothered. I'm sure the goal would have been disallowed for handball if there was a video referee.

  • Chelsea seem to be all over the place

  • @footballover Yes. Arsenal have been much more compact. Chelsea seem disjointed and their lines have always been too far apart. Whether Chelsea sit deep, or press, they have been leaving too much room between the lines for Ozil and Sanchez to roam. Kante and Matic have had far too much work to do, and ground to cover, to get near the ball.

  • Tomorrow everybody will say : "Arséne is the best " if Arsenal win. Some of them seams to forget where Arsenal were 20 years ago . ... I hope in any case Wenger will stay just to remember all the work he do for this team.

  • @splash- That doesn't make sense. Just because a manager betters a team it doesn't give said person the right to remain there until they decide to leave. It gives them the right to be respected for what they have done (and I would hope fellow Arsenal fans do respect him for revolutionising the club and English league football) but as soon as they stop being valuable to the club, they have no divine right to stay. Sorry, that is the brutal truth of sport.

  • And don't forget to celebrate that Wenger will stay!

  • First goal should not have counted. Although Ramsey did not touch the ball, he did run towards it, interfering with the play.

  • @MessiGOAT - *by positioning

  • @MessiGOAT - But that's exactly it. To be counted as offside, the book says you have to actually touch the ball, touch the defender who would play it, or impair a defender's/keeeper's vision but positioning yourself right across his face. Ramsey did none of that, not even close, so it was good call.

  • What the f...

  • chelsea will win no doubt ..arsenal sucks..wenger out after this game

  • @delpiero1100 lol

  • If Wenger hasn't got a fit back line the this formation would be the more efficient one: 3-4-2-1 which has seen the team perform much better lately. Cech. GK, Holding as a CM. Bellerin on RB, Ox RWB, Monreal, LB and Gibbs LWB. Xhaka/Ramsey in the middle and Ozil/Sanchez up top behind Welbeck! Mertesacker is a good reader of the game but Hazard, Costa and Pedro are probably licking their lips over whether he starts! He will not be able to cope with neither of Chelsea's attack! I believe Conte playing his first final at Wembley is not comfortable at all! Wenger has his owns issues obviously but he knows Wembley well. May the best win!

  • arsenal will win 2-1 or 3-2

  • Just seen pics of Jenks in training. What are the odds of him scoring the winner :D. Corporal Bants with a far post header in the 95th minute to make it 3-2 ;-)

  • Arsenal 2-1

  • I just really can't see Arsenal getting any positive result from this game. Chelsea's on fire and with the injury problems in Arsenal defence I see it as a win for Chelsea - 2:0.

  • Last nail in the coffin for Mr.Wenger, SacreBlue. #WengerOut

  • Arsenal 0-2 Chelsea

  • hahahahahaha Whoscored dumping their favorite team for chelsea.

  • @WazzaFC Man U have been making it very hard for WS to support them as their pet. Maybe Maureen should try something other than building a £500M wall in front of goal made out of £100 notes. Enjoy finishing bottom of your group next season.

  • @What4 hahahahhah true

  • The referee is Anthony Taylor. You couldn't make this up, somehow we got Mike Dean's protégé for the FA Cup final. You can go ahead and bury whatever chances we had.

  • Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea with a late header from Giroud. Hopefully I'm wrong.

  • @MEHJones Sigh... Giroud, Ramsey, same difference, both players that Arsenal fans find frustrating but with a record of scoring important goals.

  • hopefully arsenal gets destroyed and wenger out

  • Sanchez will play. The rumours are that he'll be sold in the summer. Hopefully if that is the case then we get £50m for him and sell to a non-Prem team. His agent was supposedly in Munich but that could be BS designed at getting more money out of the Arsenal powers-that-be. Either way, we may as well make the most of him while here. If a minor injury in the 89th minute scuppers any potential deal, so be it. ;-) . Wenger said in an interview that he could switch to a back 4 because Gibbs is struggling. Mustafi also looks like he will not be fit. I actually think we will have a back 3 of Holding, Mertesacker & Monreal with Bellerin RWB and Chamberlain, who I believe is fit, LWB. We have been sturdier defensively since switching to a 3. Cech will start ahead of Ospina because David will be sold in the summer. It is impossible to predict a score until we see who actually is fit but Chelsea will be at full strength and full of confidence so I must admit I am not confident.

  • @SteveHyland £50M would be a bargain, I'm sure we could get more, if Sanchez really has his heart set on going.

  • @What4- Naturally I'd like his true market worth but the figure reported in the media is £50m and they have sources close to clubs, agents etc so that is likely to be right. For a 28-year old with only 1 year left on his contract, £50m is an ok figure. Not amazing but ok, plus we will have made a profit of £14m. We should've put a standard €100m buyout clause in his contract.

  • It's incredible how few injuries Chelsea gets, not just season when they aren't playing in Europe, but every single season since Roman took over...really *in-credible*. It's nice to always have your best XI to pick, every game of the season, and to build up those "automatisms"...

  • Yeah Chelsea will win. Sad, but true.

  • if wenger win the cup he stays and i see him winning the league next season

  • @shakes That's kind of a dream. Next season belongs to Tottenham. Then Man-City, Man-U, Liverpool and Chelsea will be left scrambling for the scraps.

  • @Bol Possibly, but I doubt it as Spurs will play their home games at Wembley. I think the Manchester teams will be very strong next season. Should be the best season we've ever seen, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal my order.

  • @shakes- His future has already been decided. The result of this game doesn't matter in that respect.

  • @shakes wanker won't win the league , 4th place has been their title every year for a long time, even that seems difficult to achieve without such team and manager.

  • @shakes Wake up, bro. It's morning. Stop dreaming.

  • tbh If Arsenal start with that line up then I believe they will be fine. Chelsea have a bad record at Wembley in contrasts to Arsenal. Is a final and game can go either way. Chelsea are favourites but are certain to concede here.

  • @albgunn Bad record? Where did you check the stats?

  • @McHennie I meant Arsenal have a better record at Wembley than Chelsea!

  • Koscielny red-carded and Gabriel out with injury. The result might be a mauling for Arsenal cos Wenger might be force to revert to his 'favorite' 4-2-3-1 formation which always open up their defense frailties.

  • @McHennie Also Mustafi is doubtful with suspected concussion.

  • Chelsea 2-1

  • Chelsea 2-0

  • Arsenal win @ 3 - 2
