  • huge lost for Arsenal.

  • A mixture of Arsenal wastefulness, Arsenal caught napping early on in the 2nd half and an excellent display from Jack Butland prevented us from winning what would've been a deserved 3 points based on the overall dominance. I'm not sure how we didn't have a penalty for Diouf's foul on Bellerin in the first half but really, we had enough chances to win without that call being given. Welbeck was wasteful on a couple of occasions, although he was pulled back on one of them. I just think whenever you have a 2nd half like we did- camped out in the opposition half having had 83.2% of the ball and 11 shots, you should find a way to win. It still isn't our full first team out so I'm not too despondent but we need squad strengthening (particularly a CB and CM) if we are to persevere with the starting system (which I believe we should because individual error and not the formation itself presented Stoke with the chance they took).

  • no miracle come back today? they played bad last game and got lucky at the end. arsenal has a weak squad and they refuse to spend on good players to upgrade, results is more crappy results.

  • Jack Butland performed like he was in FIFA

  • Steve will be not amused...

  • @neumi17- Ha definitely not amused. We need to make sure the worst result we come away from Anfield with is a draw and then strengthen our squad before the transfer window shuts. I still believe without further signings (and assuming Alexis will come back into the team and play well) then our first XI is good but most of our backups aren't, especially in the spine of the team.

  • arsenal so useless, hope they got relegated

  • wenger must resign after this match..

  • @delpiero1100 17 shots and %77 possession and you blame Wenger? Maybe your forwards ''must'' do sth about it, not Wenger.

  • @Byakuya we need results dude ...what the hell the possession is useful if there is no results

  • @delpiero1100 That was my point m8. Last season we had the same issue after Ibra's injury, we had possession but no goals. I think Wenger doing a good job, but definitely you need a CB.

  • @delpiero1100 Arsenal completely dominated the game. This is nothing to do with the manager.

  • wenger out

  • Arsenal must win

  • @praveenarsenal why u rvso sure?!??!?!?! they sucks

  • @praveenarsenal They must? Why? It's only 2 games into the season lol.

  • arsenal win 1-4 or 1-5

  • stoke not lose

  • Arsenal

  • arsenal will score

  • wenger out

  • 1:4

  • @albgunn Agree with 1:4

  • Expect arsenal to win 1-3, Arsenal should have too much for the potters who are not on the best of form, of late a tough game for us is awaiting nevertheless.

  • I will play Mustafi, Per and Monreal Ox Xhaka Ramsey Sead Welbeck Ozil Lacazette Bellarin was terrible last match. Ox was limited playing LWB he should go RWB. Sead was better going forward than defending. Per or Elneny should play CB.

  • @Holybabayo brother I totally agree with your lineup, but lets be fair we cant put Elneny as CB. We have already seen him play there and he was shit.

  • @Holybabayo MUSTAFI isnt on the best form so prefer holding, same for per

  • We should be better defensively than in the Leicester game (couldn't be worse) but I wouldn't play Kolasinac at LCB when he is top class at LWB. Instead, I would play Monreal LCB and put Chamberlain in the middle next to Xhaka. We don't need 2 DMs against Stoke and Chamberlain's drive from midfield could open up other attacking avenues. The Ox is underrated defensively too, just sometimes tries too hard when playing in the middle. Anyways, he is a better option than Elneny plus Ramsey isn't 100% fit. It is the one area we desperately need to sort out in this window imo. Historically, Stoke have given us problems at the Britannia and I expect another tough game but with us edging it. Going with the consensus of 2-1 to the Gunners.

  • @SteveHyland And by the way. To give your wing backs and attackers freedom the middle central players must sit most of the match.. or you get massively exposed in the middle of the pitch with 3421.

  • @Champion- It depends on your opposing midfielders and their team formation, since there is more than 1 way of playing 3-4-2-1 (or indeed any formation). Against Man City in the FA.Cup semi, Ramsey sat and that is prudent against a team who not only control the ball very well but outnumber you in midfield (they played a 4-2-3-1 with a 4-1-4-1 at times) but against Chelsea, he played his natural box-to-box role- this against the typical 2 DM 3-4-3 formation. Aaron was the best player on the pitch that day and the fact we had somebody who could go from defence to attack prevented us from being bogged down. Against Fletcher/Allen, we shouldn't need 2 DMs and while I agree the Ox is better at RWB than CM, we have no options in the middle in lieu of a fully-fit Ramsey. If Stoke switch to a 3-man midfield then Chamberlain is capable of sitting but he has the ability to burst out of dangerous situations with his pace and power or break defences the same way whereas Elneny cannot.

  • @SteveHyland LOL bye bye Ox. Klopp gonna make this kid great.

  • @SteveHyland Bravo, excellent analysis

  • @Betmenu- Cheers fella.

  • @SteveHyland If you want Kolasinac at LWB, then Chamberlain should go to RWB with Bellerin dropped. Chamberlain is more effective as a wing back than anywhere else and better than Bellerin at RWB.

  • 1-2

  • 0-2

  • Stoke 1 - 2 Arsenal
