Really bad game of Bayern, hope it is still just the result of the trip to asia. They allowed 19 shots on goal! The highest in Bundesliga since 2012. All of the goals were scored out of set pieces and the even in pass accuracy Leverkusen was better. Can't remember when that happened last... As of now Bayerns game lacks creative attacks up front and a good organization in defence. Of course a lot of important players are still out but some things haven't changed. Müller and Lewandowski have big problems in controling the ball and don't show much threat in front of the goal. The midfield with Tolisso, Rudy and Vidal is too much control and delivers too little sparks offensively. Ribéry and Robben are still good but don't have the penetration power they used to own. For the Bundesliga this might be enough but internationally Bayern will get problems playing this way. Leverkusen was terrible in the first half but improved dramatically in the second half. They created 9 scoring chances

@pfuu- Not sure what you mean, do you mean the replacements for those players aren't good enough? I would agree on Neuer, Lahm and Alonso but Thiago has taken over well from Schweinsteiger as the 'go-to' person and no team has world class backups for world class starters except for, possibly, in one position. What is more pertinent from tonight's showing is that without Thiago in the team, there doesn't seem to be any control- be it defensively or in attack.
WTF VAR denying a penalty for Leverkusen and giving such an easy penalty for Lewa, unbelievable this is already the 2ND time VAR has favored Bayern in the two games they played with VAR. Corrupted sh*t, Scheiße DFB!
The stats are a bit wrong though. Leverkusen had more than only 4 dribbles. Kampl had at least 3 alone...

Only Lewandowski is as bad as the in the last months. Awfull his first touch, dribbling and passing .
@neumi17 add: He's scored his first goal already in the first match, was helping the team in the middle of the pitch and in the defense from time to time. He's done well, but I bet you that he will get in a better shape. Don't cry so much as a biased anti-fan of FCB. The amount of your comments is ridiculous. @Drifter I am not an anti fan by far but just reflect what is going on on the pitch, as any fan should judge. And it is not not what Bayern and especially Lewandowski is showing lately. And this is obviously not just my observation but gets discussed amongst the media and many Bayern fans. Lewandowski for instance has been playing very poorly for a long time and is useless when given the ball in midfield or in a combination. His first touch is as bad as Müllers often and he is unable to take on an opponent in an 1 vs1 situation. He still scores goals but many people want to have a back up for him to get some competition going on. He surly is worse in open play compared with Benzema or Suarez. And the rest of the team hasn't performed convincingly either. So if you are not a total fan boy like Yman, it is one duty to mention those alarming shortcomings, since this is supposed to be a CL titel contender...

Strange game, 2nd half Leverkusen is much better and is dominating Bayern clearly. Should be 3-3 by now ...
@neumi17- I predicted 3-0 Bayern and at half time I thought I should've doubled that total but in the 2nd half, they have switched off. Complacent and sloppy from Munich.

The levle of skill and quality in german football is embarrassing. Both teams have so many technical errors in their game and no real build up, everything is random. Bundesliga will decline dramatically this season ...

Leverkusen had a terrible preseason, I hope for Heiko he can turn it around or he won't survive long. Leverkusen should be fighting for a CL spot this season.
