@alex_74 Neymar was probably the worst player on the pitch. He used his fantastic talent for pure egomaniac reasons and delivered zero for the team. None of his dribbles served any purpose except showing the world he can go by 4 defenders. That's already terrible in youth level but in a CL game it destroys your team. Ronaldo on the other hand has almost no talent with the ball and looks clumsy most of time if he runs with the ball. He also has its egomaniac side, when he takes freekicks when there are so many better players for that are around. But in the end he scores an ugly but decisive goal again and everybody asks how ? Neymar has endless talent but doesn't uses it for the team, whereas Ronaldo does mostly absolutely nothing but is there when it matters again and again. Therefore he is the better player even though Neymar has 10 times more skills than him...
@neumi17 you can't even compare Ronaldo at 26 with Neymar at 26. Ronaldo was a beast back then, even faster then Neymar with great shot - he was able to score from distance and from free kicks at the time, and he had an insane high jump and great control with headers. Any free space in front of him would result in a goal. Over 50 goals per season. Neymar also played in a world-best club, he couldn't get near these stats. He won't even reach there in PSG which plays in a joke league compared to their strength.
@neumi17 Neymar has one trick, he always runs towards the space on the side of his defender. So even he looks like he has dribbled a defender, in reality he only shifted to the side, so he keep running forward. And if he succeeds with this trick, he can end up around the box with 4-5 defenders surrounding him, so he needs to pass back, or loose the ball. Messi does the same trick, just he is able to pass through the defence when he reaches the box and he can also score from there.

@BSN I was a bit exaggerating. Of course he knows how to stop and control the ball most of the times but in comparison to Neymar, the real Ronaldo or Messi, his skillset and mobility is rather limited.

Deserved win for Madrid. PSG were fortunate to not lose by more given how well Real started and that Ronaldo could have had a first half hat trick and finished with 4 or 5 goals. The marking on him all night was shocking, it is as though nobody associated with PSG have ever seen him play. "Cristiano Ronaldo? Jamais entendu parler de lui!". This result has set the 2nd leg up well for the neutral. PSG aren't done because there is still enough individual quality to turn it around but Real probably wont buckle under the pressure like..... well, PSG do.

If UEFA's goal was not to repeat the 2008 final, then how did they know that Iniesta would score in the dying minutes? The referee was just an idiot, he even admitted that he had a bad day at the office in an interview years later. The point is, Chelsea didn't score enough goals to progress, Barcelona did (albeit it being based on the silly away goal rule). Case closed. Chelsea fan here.

Unai Emery's substitutions were too negative. Substituting Cavani so early (25mins remaining) with a RB (Meunier) inspired Real Madrid to go on & win the game. Only positive for PSG is that a 2-0 win at home would knock Real Madrid out of the competition. Mbappe is too young & naive to think he could pull off tricks against Ramos & take on Marcelo. WTF was he thinking?

Asensio came on and made the difference. Ronaldo played well, he was unlucky a couple of times but managed to be in the right place to turn the ball into the net when it mattered. Neymar was excellent for PSG who despite for their attacking prowess looked severely lacking in other departments. I cannot wait for the return leg.
@NICCS You think Neymar was exellent ? In my eyes he was awfull most of times. He just always keeps the ball way to long, starts useless dribbles in midfield, when an easy pass would have been the better solution and missed several times the perfect pass in front of the goal.I think you mix up technical excellence with good play. The only thing he did today , was to take the ball and start running. You can`t play like this on CL level ...

@Patrikovic It was ok ? PSG was most of the time the better team, during the second half the much better team. But in the end they felt too comfortable and Real took advantage. The game could have also ended 2-2
@neumi17 no way. PSG had few real chances, maybe 3 in the whole second half. Their build-up play is very predictible - pass to Neymar, who starts run towards goal. They did dominate the midfield for 15 minutes in the second-half, but that effort cost them too much in the end, where they were unable to match Real. Real controlled the game more.

That referee did everything to make sure Madrid got a result from this game. Absolutely scandalous. Didn't book Modric for the same foul that Neymar got a yellow for. Didn't book Kroos in the first half. Then the clear foul by Cristina that led to the second goal. I can't believe I just wasted two hours watching a fixed game. Scandalous.

Ronaldo can't score if doesn't get the ball isn't he? It's a game with up and downs. There are only good players on Ronaldo's side but all of them have for attacking skills and less defensive : Marcelo ( great passes, crosses, dribbling) , Kroos( passing long shots) Ronaldo ( head attepts, shots, speed) . Those are great skills for a counter-attack, but PSG's side is good as well , Mbape( at the moment it's way better than Cavani and he can easy pass Marcelo and Ramos), Verratti also in great form can also attack and defend and his technique can help Mbappe and Cavani. Alaves, in my opinion is the most complete player on the field with all kind of skills: crossing, passing, tackling, interceptions, long shots etc. On the other side(Bale's side) things are not so great for Real. Varane and Modric can't do anything against Neymar. They are in the worst shape ever and Neymar is... Neymar. No ups and downs for him. He can dribble and score with a long shot or let Cavani do it. 2-3 / 2-4

Considering RM is out of CDR and have minimal chance to catch Barcelona in La Liga, I would say this one is to be or not be kind of a match.
