Tottenham haters: "You'll never finish in the top four, haha".
Tottenham Hotspur FC: finish second, unbeaten at home.
Tottenham haters: "Haha you're going to finish bottom of your group without a win, you've got no chance against Dortmund or Madrid".
Tottenham Hotspur FC: Finish top of the group unbeaten with 16 points having beating Dortmund home and away, beaten and Madrid at home.
Tottenham haters: "Juve are going to thrash you home and away".
Tottenham Hotspur FC: Draw away from home with 2 away goals, lose narrowly at home. Massimiliano Allegri admits Juventus had to "suffer" to beat Tottenham. Tottenham haters: "Hahaha, see we were right, bottlers!". Tottenham Hotspur FC: "Your hate makes us stronger. Hopefully, see you next year".
@Cannavaro69 Hey dude, I wasn't including you as part of the haters. Your comments are based on a genuine evaluation of how you see the game and match ups. Unfortunately there some other posters who never have anything good to say about Spurs even if they won the league, the FA Cup, and Champions League and ended world poverty all in the same season.
@yash8117 it's possible but we've heard similar "this is what's going to happen" predictions from people who consider themselves experts of foresight for three seasons now and none have come true so far.
To Juventus didn't deserve to win this match moaners. For love of Lord Shut up! Juventus won because they had better game plan. You're basing your moaning on shots and possession. Quite frankly it wasn't Barca level of possession at one end your moaning doesn't stick. Dybala was ghosting around. That's a legitimate point. But if you're focusing on Dybala ghosting around. Then you had no clue what kind of magician trick Juve played on your casual eyes. Dybala ghosted around because Juve set their strategy on Classic Catenaccio. When you go for Catenaccio especially strikers look like they're ghosting around. Other players suffer too but striker the most. So it was intentional Juve part.
No. 2 if you thought Juve didn't deserve there is one they've dominated Spuds. Infact annihilated them. It' 17-6 in Juve favor. Dispossession is bread and butter of Catenaccio. You defend, you dispossess your opponent and then you counter attack. This is what Juve did well. This why they won. So shut up
Let me clarify people Juve dispossessed Spuds 17 times to 6.
Now against a smaller team, it doesn't matter. You can go by without much trouble. As their attacks are sterile. But against a stronger team. If you're dispossessed that much then you're inviting yourself to danger. That's how Intermilan had beaten both Bayern and Barcelona under Jose Mourinho. Catencino. Defend, Disposes (Which annihilated Spurs in that department) and counter-attack. But with this strategy strikers like in this case Dybala ghosted around alot. Because in Catencino your strikers see a lot less of the ball. Nuff said.
@Ffaris Stupid. Just 2 minutes of inattention from Tottenham doesn't mean the game plan of Juventus was good. It's the opposite in reality, the were too dominated and too slow to do anything. The plan was bad, but the luck and the lack of realism from Tottenham heplped them to stay in the game.
@Ouftey Okay, why do I always attract responses from pea-sized brain coma suffering morons on this website? Why? There lot of things that wrong with your thesis if we could call your unchecked emotions,full of childish anger and non-intellectual response as a thesis. For starters It wasn't two minutes it was three. 67-64=3. I know maths isn't strong suit. But not knowing it was 3 minutes shows that you lack primary education. Even if we biasedly accept it was two minutes your childish ranting would do a lot disservice to half-time changes made by Allegeri. Leichensteiner at rb, Barzagali at center back. Son was having time of his life when barzagali posted at rc. When Leichestiener came Son came back to reality. Yeah Chellini smothered Kain.Asamoah for Matuidi also made all difference. Also last time Berdnashi made living hell out of Tottenham midfield. Douglas Costa did the same with his demonic pace. He attempted 7 dribbles and had success in all 7.
@Ouftey I could go on explain you all the finer tactical points. But I know it would be a useless exercise as your tiny and emotional brain can't process objective and intellectual information. Good day to you sir.
@Ouftey It wasn't just two minutes of inattention. In the first half Juventus should've gotten a penalty for instance. In the first leg in Turin Tottenham got lucky only conceding two goals. In 180 minutes you'll find that it's more than two minutes. That Tottenham simply doesn't have the sharpness to compete on this level. They are getting close because of the quality up front with Kane, Eriksen, Son and Alli but still one step behind.
I can't say I feel sorry for Spurs fans but Tottenham were the better team over 2 legs and can feel aggrieved at not going through. Having said that, Juventus are one of those teams who can play badly and somehow still win. This isn't mere fluke but I can't put my finger on exactly where it stems from. Fergie's Utd had it, this Juventus team have it.
@SteveHyland As usual, a fair assessment from you. Yes, Tottenham played well, much better than many predicted, and much better than many still care to admit. Tottenham controlled midfield for long periods, forced several errors from a top team, made lots of goal scoring chances but only put one of those chances away. Juventus rode the difficult periods, disrupted play, kept their belief, made two key substitutions, took their chances, and then stayed firm (just about).
@SteveHyland Damn even though we quite a quarrel in the past. But damn you're the only sensible guy here right now. Regarding fergie. His team had one thing that Juve didn't have and will never have in the future. The infamous Fergie Time.
They should do a tv advert for avian bottled water with tottenham players the advert could go like when you just need to bottle it drink avian proud sponsors of avian tottenham the team that bottles it like no other.
Son is a big star underrated. May be if he moves from tottenham or poch change the play style and tactic , that will help him to become a smooth criminal. . He can be like Salah he has all the necessary skills.
@CirdomAkul- He was actually quite known in the UK because of Arsenal's links with him when he was at Hamburg, prior to leaving for Leverkusen. He always had raw ability but lacked a refinedness to his play. Pochettino has definitely polished a rough diamond. His away form needs to improve but at home he has been superb.
I'm not shocked by the result. Tottenham played well in Turin but lets face it. They didn't have to play Matuidi or Dybala, and they really got lucky in that match, conceding only two goals. Higuain missed a penalty and Juventus just wasn't sharp up front. Here in London Tottenham got extremely lucky when the referee didn't call a blatant penalty early on in the game. Let's be ojective here, had the referee called that penalty Juventus would've scored and Vertonghen get a yellow card and probably get sent out later on when he cut through Dybala. Tottenham is a great team but they have never really proven they belong among the best. They referee was really helpfull tonight but not even that was enough. I Think Juventus deserves to be in the quarter finals. Tottenham still have a lot to learn.
@Gusjaros Also Matuidi? Did you even watch the match? He was ineffective and the game changed *after* he went off. Lichtsteiner was far more important for Juve.
@Gusjaros Spin whatever fantastical narrative you want but the tie was much closer than you were expecting or are comfortable with. Your comment smacks of relief and churlishness. Let's be objective here, XG stats clearly show that the tie could have gone either way. Yes, Juve should have probably had a penalty but Juve themselves handled and pulled shirts in their own box on more than one occasion. Also Barzagli could have been sent off. In summary, Juventus who were massive favourites when the draw was made had to use all their guts and experience to edge past a team that wasn't even expected to get past the group stages. The way Juve celebrated at the end showed how close Tottenham had pushed them. Allegri has admitted Juventus had to "suffer" to beat Tottenham.
@Gusjaros So no, Juventus doesn't deserve to be in quarter finals. Matuidu was not there in Turin? Probably a good thing for Juventus, really poor player.
@Gusjaros Is your comment a joke? Juventus were ultra-dominated by Tottenham. They won only because of 2 minutes of inattention of Tottenham players. Just luck, they will never pass the next round. If you want to speak of the referee : Three hand-ball from Juve players were not "seen" by the referee (including a penalty). But the worst is Barzagli, who clearly puts its spikes on Tottenham player (he should have received a red card, but also 2 yellow, don't understand how he finished the game)..
@Ouftey They were in 2 out of the last 3 finals. I wouldn't bet against them "not passing the next round". If there's a tea, that can get utterly dominated and still win it's Juventus. You might think this was a fluke but they've snatched unthinkable victories many times in Serie A. This match against Tottenham just proved that they knew what they were doing.
@Gusjaros Yeah let's gloss over Barzagli staying in the game and Chielini getting handsy with the ball in the box. The ref was clearly favoring Tottenham.
@Gusjaros Lets be objective ? What are you on ? Juve looked like a 62 year old boxer 2/3 of the game and should have been behind by much more than just one goal. Dybala looked like a corpse and Tottenham was lightyears better... Than they score 2 goals out of nothing and suddenly they are supposed to be the better team ? Give me a break, you should acknowledge and be thankfull, if you get lucky in life ...
@Gusjaros Juve deserves to qualify, Spurs have a great game, its just juve defence was more focus and concentrate. Barzagli should have been sent off for stepping at son.
@Guilain "Non-existant cards"? :D You've probably meant cards for non-existing fouls, but all of the cards were given properly. And about the red card for Barzaghli? -> no VAR which isn't refs fault. He didn't see that.
@Anonymous_T The penalty was hard to tell, because Costa is well-known for diving...YET, I think that it should have been dictated. Chiellini's hand was positioned unnaturally, but the rules say that when a player has to back himself up with it then there's no penalty. But there was another hand from Benatia I believie which was obvious.
@nexus747 higuain? the fat guy who always misses in front of the goal? the guy who made argentina lose the world cup? i think juve are better off without him
Tottenham got lucky last time. For one they should've lost that match with at least 4-2 and second Juventus were without key players. This time Tottenham will really need to prove that they belong in the quarter finals.
I think Poch will start with this line up: Lloris- Trippier-Sanchez-Vertonghen-Rose-Dier-Wanyama-Dembélé-Eriksen-Son and Kane that will allow Moose to get more freedom to build up and Eriksen to assist and also will help the defense as for Dier and Wanyama have a defensive mentality
Why do I feel everyone commenting on this game is Italian,Juventus supporter or Arsenal fan...if u think Juventus will score more goal than 1,then am right about u
In spite of Tottas form and superb form from Kane I don’t know if is enough to pass Juve. Juve can park the bus and only play on counter attack and score. Tottenham have a good team but should be enough good in this time of the competition?
Last year for me Tottenham was very strong much more than this year and didn’t care about cl why this year can be different? Just wondering...
@papaitucano Things are different this year. They look more competitive and are way better offensively. Don't think they go out without putting a fight.
I have faith in Allegri , and with players like Higuain, Costa , Dybala, Chiellini , Pjanic they can do it and qualify to the next round, Juve reached the final two times in the last 3 years so no one understimate La JUVE !!
@Cannavaro69 This is not good for Juve. It's an important loss. Higuain experience is needed today but.....i'll hope Juventus will win this hard battle and i also hope to see them in final again.
Juve gonna attack first half and trying to score a goal in this period, but this will be a chance for Spurs to counterattack. Kane and Ali are fast players and they can win 2v4 or 2v3. I see a drastic Spurs win here if Juve miss chances. 3-1
Tottenham can be very effective on the counter attack but Allegri isn't stupid and will be aware of this point. Therefore, unless there is an early goal it could end up being a cagey affair with Juve taking their time and waiting for the chance they need. Alternatively if Tottenham take the initiative and up the tempo there could be several goals in it. Either way it should be fascinating. Prediction?? If Son, Dembelle, and Kane play Tottenham 2-1 Juve???
Anything is possible tonight. It's so hard to predict, though Juve needs to score they'll play cautious and counter attack very fast. But i think they'll not throw themselves like crazy in Spurs's area cuz they know a goal scored by home team would be lethal. I'll choose Pause or Final X but it's risky.
I really hope that these are not the real start formations or we don't stand a chance. Juve should play at least a 4-1-3-2 or the counter-attacks of Tottenham will be deadly. On the other side, Juve will definitely score 2 goals because they are used to the italian defensive teams, way more powerfull than England's defense (except Man.Utd which all that plays is defense).
@Alphamale I doubt that. In order for this to happen, Juve would have to open up and it's highly unlikely. Any goal from the hosts significantly decreases their chances, so their priority will be a clean sheet.
Tottenham has a good chance to progress because the away result makes it possible to now play with 2 possible results but they need to take this match very seriously and stay smart because usually Juventus is a tricky team and doesn't need to play good or have many chances to score and achieve a 0-1 win...
0-0 or 1-1 both teams will respect each other and will play defensively waiting for a mistake from either defence. this could go to extra time or even penalties.
Juve's recent performances have been very poor despite the positive results. Here's hoping for a good performance and a Juve win. Forza JuVE!! Juve to win 2-1.
Juventus performances have been really bad and I consider Tottenham favorite to qualify but I would never discard Juventus . They are a team that can get results through bad performances even at this level.
Tottenham to entire the quarter finals with a brilliant win against Juventus,Juventus reminds me of Arsenal...all talk but no game,its like playing a bunch of overpaid old men who should be retired by now
@Philamntha lol @ comparing Juventus with Arsenal. A team who wins their league every year and reached 2 of the last 3 Champions League finals, vs a team who finishes 4th, gets knocked out in the round of 16 every year, and couldn't even qualify for Champions League this year. But yes, Juventus is like Arsenal, keep thinking that buddy boy.
Tottenham haters: "You'll never finish in the top four, haha". Tottenham Hotspur FC: finish second, unbeaten at home. @MEHJones Ok bro i really apologize for what i said before , just forget it , peace
@Cannavaro69 I wish Juve good fortune in the matches to come.
@Cannavaro69 No worries
@MEHJones anyways you're going to win anything next season. Eriksen,kane and poch are all going. Eriksen will go with poch to psg and kane to madrid
@yash8117 it's possible but we've heard similar "this is what's going to happen" predictions from people who consider themselves experts of foresight for three seasons now and none have come true so far.
this champions league is making a turn. i am now worried about my barcelona against chelsea. mmmm.

I wouldn't 1-2 be a Spurs fan right now.
I'm sure I've witnessed a clearance of the line from one of Juventus players. where is that?!!!!!!!!!
@maxifoot - It was Barzagli.
Chiellini one of the few players that makes you feel there are still exist players who play for the jersey. Respect for the beast
@bitbot02 Thats the GRINTAAAA
@bitbot02 Best moment in the match when Buffon grabs Chiellini and start shouting
@bitbot02 He was certainly very handy.
Spurs were better over 2 legs, experience was key
They should do a tv advert for avian bottled water with tottenham players the advert could go like when you just need to bottle it drink avian proud sponsors of avian tottenham the team that bottles it like no other.
There really should be a VAR during Champions League matches.
Son is a big star underrated. May be if he moves from tottenham or poch change the play style and tactic , that will help him to become a smooth criminal. . He can be like Salah he has all the necessary skills.
@sampo Son is a selfish player
@Lipo Few knew him before he came to Spurs. Much of the credit must go to Poch for his growth.
Tottenham are a slightly less embarrassing version of Arsenal lol
Juve doing what they do best, paying off match officials.
@KunAndFriends and the penalty in the first half for Costa?
@tonysaintmarc He obviously bet the under (yeah it was a PK though)
@tonysaintmarc he doesn't know what he's saying
@KunAndFriends what do you mean by that???? I don't even know what to tell you
Tottenham threw everything they've worked for in 5 mins. This speaks for the level of champions league.
I'm not shocked by the result. Tottenham played well in Turin but lets face it. They didn't have to play Matuidi or Dybala, and they really got lucky in that match, conceding only two goals. @Gusjaros Juve deserves to qualify, Spurs have a great game, its just juve defence was more focus and concentrate. Barzagli should have been sent off for stepping at son.
@Gusjaros I disagree.
@Ludo I Disapprove of What You Say, But I Will Defend to the Death Your Right to Say It.
@Gusjaros Thank you for that.
Lamela on at 74'. Time for the diving to begin.
Ugly team Juventus, Barzagli should be sent off
@Ouftey Son should have received a red too, for his reaction. so fair
@juventini7 receive a red card because he cries after the dirty stamp of Barzagli? Stupid.
Glad Tottenham look like losing, divers deserve failure.
@sarigginsUSA They learnt everything they know from watching Michael Owen and Luis Suarez. :P
classic Tottenham
@kunoy Yeah, getting further in a competition than anyone predicted and being called bottlers by hateful trolls when they don't go further still.
well i am glad to be proven wrong!
ah tottenham bottling it again here we go again
Out of nothing ..
juventus all the way
Mousa dembélé is world class and priceless
@modric97 matic is better
well thats tie over for me.cant see juve scoring more than a goal
@BarcaPlsLetMeDown well they have scored 2 :)
Dybala has been a ghost so far
Embarrassing refereeing. He gives non-existant cards and misses the obvious.
@Guilain "Non-existant cards"? :D You've probably meant cards for non-existing fouls, but all of the cards were given properly. And about the red card for Barzaghli? -> no VAR which isn't refs fault. He didn't see that.
get in there my son
Give assist to Trippier pls
Son scores! Juve has a big troubles now
Tottenham will go through
@footballover Ha ha ha. Funny.
Clear penalty not given IMO.
@spectre08 Juve handled in the box twice, crazy huh?!
@spectre08 Yeah, Chiellini hand, I agree
@Anonymous_T The penalty was hard to tell, because Costa is well-known for diving...YET, I think that it should have been dictated. 1-2
@dynek i see u bro.. You d silent killer, u got a fan.. That was spot on
Juve are still favourites but historically Tottenham have a good record against Italian teams.
Juventus 3-2
It's time to win for Tottenham!!
I think, Tottenham can actually go through if they play their natural game and hold on to nerves: 2-1 to home team.
Don't know about both teams scoring but am aure its gonna be over 1.5 and possibly 1x under 4.5
@Aei aure lol
@Cannavaro69 funny u could spot a typo but not a valid prediction.. Ffs go into ur cave
@Aei Why you are always feel jealous towards me . because i always predicts right? :D com'n buddy the truth hurts sometime
I would wait for Juventus team news.Higuain has passed a late fitness test and will play but Mandzukic is still not fit to play.
@nexus747 higuain? the fat guy who always misses in front of the goal? the guy who made argentina lose the world cup? i think juve are better off without him
@Anonymous_T jokes on you
@Anonymous_T lol..u r proven wrong.
@Anonymous_T YEEAAH dude i share your point
Tottenham got lucky last time. For one they should've lost that match with at least 4-2 and second Juventus were without key players. This time Tottenham will really need to prove that they belong in the quarter finals.
@Gusjaros Juventus who was lucky
@aymane.spur I'm very happy that Spurs got sent out, since I disllike their obnoxious fans.
@Gusjaros Juve still without key players. Mandzukic is reportedly injured and Higuain is just coming back. Don't know who win this one.
I agree, but playing withoyt Dybala and Matuidi was tough, especially a player like Dybala that can turn a match in the last minute.
I think this 2-1 prediction is most likely here.
This could be another 2-2.
@papaitucano Cry tottas cry... cry like a river..
@papaitucano What?? loooool
@papaitucano Juve cannot afford to park the bus. They need goals, otherwise, they are out as it stands.
Higuain not fit 100% to start the match
@Cannavaro69 This is not good for Juve. It's an important loss. Higuain experience is needed today but.....i'll hope Juventus will win this hard battle and i also hope to see them in final again.
@Gambino78 May God hear you buddy
@Cannavaro69 so u believe GOD's existence now?????????????
@Aei Hey Asshole check my accumulator in Arsenal vs Watford match i already posted it, I already won so you better shut the fuck up
Juve gonna attack first half and trying to score a goal in this period, but this will be a chance for Spurs to counterattack. Kane and Ali are fast players and they can win 2v4 or 2v3. I see a drastic Spurs win here if Juve miss chances. 3-1
@Hoodenles No way Juve can play like this senario, this is Italian club they will play defensivley and trying to score a late goal by a counter attack
@Cannavaro69 Spurs wont attack directly
* spurs to score first by counterattack
X - 2 JUVE
Tottenham can be very effective on the counter attack but Allegri isn't stupid and will be aware of this point. Therefore, unless there is an early goal it could end up being a cagey affair with Juve taking their time and waiting for the chance they need. Alternatively if Tottenham take the initiative and up the tempo there could be several goals in it. Either way it should be fascinating. Prediction?? If Son, Dembelle, and Kane play Tottenham 2-1 Juve???
@MEHJones My prediction too. Tottenham can actually win this one: 2-1. It would be great game for a neutral like me.
@tru61ue It was less cagey than I was expecting in the end.
Forza Italy
1-2 juve
@Homayoon nice one
Under 2.5 and i win my combination @15.xx ! :))
@tarvos How much you will win ?
@Cannavaro69 around $2k
@tarvos OUCHH !!! Hard luck captain you just lost
0-1 Mandzukic
Anything is possible tonight. It's so hard to predict, though Juve needs to score they'll play cautious and counter attack very fast. But i think they'll not throw themselves like crazy in Spurs's area cuz they know a goal scored by home team would be lethal. I'll choose Pause or Final X but it's risky.
@Gambino78 Agree , you are a good analyser dude
@Cannavaro69 Thanks, the same goes for you also, your predictions are among the good ones on this site.
Double chance fore Juve. For Chielline need to play near the Kane. Without Kane Spurs can score in my opinion.
Look this game Juventus Show the real power in wembley,, smash spurs 1-2 for Juve
@DeGeST keep dreaming
@Philamntha Dreams do come true
To be honest, I think this game will go in ET with the same result as in the first leg.
@Alphamale I doubt that. In order for this to happen, Juve would have to open up and it's highly unlikely. Any goal from the hosts significantly decreases their chances, so their priority will be a clean sheet.
Rose may start to stop Costa with his speed
juve just need to win this game
Tottenham has a good chance to progress because the away result makes it possible to now play with 2 possible results but they need to take this match very seriously and stay smart because usually Juventus is a tricky team and doesn't need to play good or have many chances to score and achieve a 0-1 win...
hurrikane harry to slot one past the legend buffon.
0-0 or 1-1 both teams will respect each other and will play defensively waiting for a mistake from either defence. this could go to extra time or even penalties.
@RemyLebeu 0 - 0 = " respect" win for Buffon and Spurs 0 - 0 @ 8/1
@RemyLebeu It will be a tight match
@RemyLebeu Either 1-1 or 0-0 Tottenham qualifies... no extra time
Juve's recent performances have been very poor despite the positive results. Here's hoping for a good performance and a Juve win. Forza JuVE!! Juve to win 2-1.
@berhin OUCH I just remembered that Khedira plays for us and will likely start!! I hope Allegri opts to start Bentancur instead.
@berhin Bentancur to start this match ?!! are you crazy !!! Allegri cant play this little kid in a fateful match like this
@Cannavaro69 Khedira will be totally anonymous. At least Bentancur will be impactful in some form.
Spurs to score 3+ goals
@Hoodenles COYS
Tottenham win? Really?
It's a Tottenham win or at worst draw (1-1), and Tottenham goes through.
juventus win 2-1
@abderrahmen27 Bingo!
BTTS
This match will be 0:3 Dybala with a brace.
@Marchisio8 You are deep asleep if you think Tottenham will allow more than a goal past them at Wembley
@Philamntha Haha rip
@Philamntha lets talk after the match ;)
Tottenham 1 - 0 / 1 - 1 juventus
La Juve, vinciamo sempre noi! Forza Vecchia Signora mia. Te Amo Per Sempre, Bianconeri! Juve per sempre sarà!!!
