It seems like Spain don't want to win League A, but want to qualify through the regular qualifiers. They haven't been playing at 100% after their first two wins secured their place in League A.
Great game , deserved win for Croatia. Busquets was again invisible for Spain while he plays great for Barca. He should be kicked out from Spain squad.
Pivaric is injured and wont play, our left side will be vulnerable. Another problem we face is Dalic forcing Kalinic as 1st choice for goalkeeper, even after Livakovic pulled great game against England. Other then that there shouldnt be much problems. Team spirit, our strongest weapon is at level again and stadium is sold out... Hard game to predict. I would stay out of this if I was neutral. Altough 4.0 coefficient seems nice.
@Ewerfekt Hopefully Jedvaj can do his best at the left side, mostly cause I think Milić is not the calibre for this kind of a match. And I agree, Livaković should start this game, dunno why Zlatko keeps forcing terrible Kalinić.
Hopefully we can get something out of this, losing is out of the picture, I'm going with 1X. Good luck to everyone except Spaniards!
Spain have the most technically proficient squad in the world- regardless of which number of players the squad consists of such is their footballing culture and pedagogical methods, but I'm not sure they are CURRENTLY spoilt for choices in midfield and attack. David Silva has retired (for completely understandable reasons), Thiago Alcantara and Koke are injured, Morata has only just come into form after being useless for ages (and there is no Paco Alcacer (???!!!!) or Diego Costa) and Asensio has played just 180 minutes of football in the 5 games since Spain's previous Nations League match. England were also very good at neutralising Saul Niguez in that same game, which would not have gone unnoticed in Zagreb- though he is a fantastic player. I simply think that, from this squad: Ceballos, Busquets, Niguez, Isco and Morata have to start with 1 from Asensio/Brais Mendez playing RW. Still a superb sextet, whichever permutation, but I'm not so sure about the understudies- Aspas et al.
@SteveHyland - I'm with you, Spain's technical proficiency is otherworldly. But organisationally they've been shambles forever. Exhibit A: Lopetegui's situation, B: Luis Enríque's feud with his ex-players. Alba and now even more unexplainable, Alcácer. He even scored 3 in two internationals before getting the winner against Bayern, yet he isn't even in the squad. There can't be a professional reason leaving him out.
