Tottenham

Liverpool
- Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is set to call Eric Dier back into the squad after starting the 2-1 loss to Watford on the bench.
- Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli miss out through injury, with Michel Vorm and Mousa Dembele set to start in goal and midfield, respectively, while Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela will be assessed before Saturday's lunchtime kick off.
- Juan Foyth and Vincent Janssen are both ruled out for the hosts, but Son Heung-Min has returned from international duty.
- Jurgen Klopp is without injured trio Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana, with the latter sustaining a groin problem that forced him to pull out of the England squad for the September internationals.
- Simon Mignolet is suffering with a hand problem, though wasn't expected to start.
- Naby Keita could return to the XI that started the 2-1 win over Leicester before the international break, which would see Jordan Henderson drop to the bench.
Alderweird should be sold or abandoned immediately
The reason people hate us now is that we’re genuine contenders and showing as much. Haven’t gotten above 2nd gear if we’re a 5 speed team so far and yet we have a perfect record and the best defense in the league so far. YNWA
@sarigginsUSA At first glance I read "people hate US now" and I was like; spot on chap, spot on
Seemed to me Mane was not offside at that 1st minute goal , it shouldn't have been disallowed.
@dib If you watch the slow motion you'll see Firmino gets a slight touch on the ball, at which point Mane was offside. It was a good call in the end although I doubt that the linesman called it up for that... all seemed to be a bit too fast but I'm not one to argue with a correct call.
Despite lacking that touch of quality today, the front three's work-rate was outstanding (saw all of them dipping into midfield to win back the ball today). Shout-out to Milner, as well, who's easily been our best player this season.
If it wouldn't have been for Michael Vorm (MOTM), it would have been 5-0
Salah played well IMO. You don't need to score every game to prove that you are a good player. and no error for Vorm?
Tottenham were very, very bad. Their game was full of mistakes and players didn't cover each others, which Liverpool did excellently by the way. I'm not sure what Pochettino expected, did he think they could win Pool with Dier and Winks in midfield! Vorm and Vertonghen should have error lead to goal, although Liverpool would have won even without their mistakes. Lamela was Tottenham's only good player, I hope he gets more chances to impress and stays fit. Liverpool looks good and are in good positions in title race. It will be interesting to see how they can sort their difficult run of fixtures in the league and CL.
Salah and Mane very selfish
@Koalaa Mane especially. He thinks he's better than Salah. He's not.
@Champion ironic he provided the assist for the winning goal.
Kane seems completely off the pace. He needs rest or something. I thought that was half a shout for a pen at the end for Son. Liverpool deserved to win anyhow.
@Champion More than a half shout but yeah Spurs can't complain too much given the balance of play. Plus Liverpool fans would have become even saltier than they are already after last year.
how much lucky is liverpool this season, cant wait Psg and Neymar to destroy them at Anfield in few days!!!!!
@stefanm Ah, you just told the whole world you didn't watch the game at all.
@stefanm Lucky?! If it wasn't for some woeful decision making up top, we would have come out with a 4-odd goal win.
@stefanm and few days later you will see different liverpool tonight, what i want to say is liverpool play bad tonight and enough to bring 3 points.
Liverpool should be winning by more..tottenham are pathetic.
Keita is not that talented, and salah is definitely one season wonder!
@nekt 2 goals and 2 assists in 5 games= one season wonder? If you ever watched a game of football in your life you would've seen that Salah was hardly above average this time last season and would hit the side netting at least twice a game. Just give the man some time to warm up.
@nekt lol
does anyone know what the odds are for liverpool to win epl this season?
@offside at the mo its 5/2, use google/betting sites
@davidj Seriously don't understand people who ask questions like this? Just type it into google it's not hard
@Nico1 LOL... he is a UEFAdrid fan so dont blame him :)
@Cannavaro69 I guess getting beat by Real Madrid 2 years in a row is really burning ur ass huh?..Juve are possibly the most corrupt club in the world.
@spectre08 Most corrupted club and we have the best player in the world
@Cannavaro69 imagine, having the 'best' player in the world and then get sent to SerieB for a 2nd time for match fixing, again, the memes will last an eternity.
1st big test and might not surprise if Liverpool loses. Against remaining top 5 their performance are not good

With Oliver as referee, Liverpool will have no chances to win this on Wembley. Tottenham 3 - 1 Liverpool. A couple of cheap penalties for Spurs here, as always.
@Xlikely As always? LOL one match
@Xlikely dont worry, now kane needs at least 2 penalties...
1-2 Liverpool. Salah 2.
So far this season both teams have been good at creating meaningful chances (Spurs 1.99 xGF Liverpool 2.42 xGF) but Liverpool more so. Liverpool have also been better at preventing chances against. It will be interesting to see which formation Poch uses and how Spurs cope without Lloris and Dele. Despite Spurs having the larger home crowd Liverpool are favorites: Spurs 1-2 Liverpool.
4:2 Liverpool
Tips for today : Tottenham 1X @1.60 / Manchester United 2X @1.25 / Monaco win @2.50 / Inter Milan win @1.32 / Napoli win @1.55 / Atletico Madrid win @1.40 / Valencia win @1.75.......Total odds @24.00 / Good Luck Guys
@Cannavaro69 Why are you so Anti Liverpool, Anti Chelsea, Anti Arsenal? Liverpool win 2-1, Chelsea win 4-1, Arsenal win 2-0. You are definitely Man Utd fanatics, with scrap football knowledge. LOL
@Cannavaro69 as I said - after your first prediction you lost money - please don't bet anymore, do it for your family! ;)
@afx ok
@Cannavaro69 Inter@1.31/Bayern munich @1.23/Atleti@1.44/Liverpool 2X /Bestikas @1.41/Leicester 2X @1.50/Shakhar@1.40/Barcelona @1.46 ........ Total odds@14/1 / Good Luck guys
@shakes Inter lost, Atleti draw, Leicester lost , nice tips
@shakes LOL
@Cannavaro69 I would be bankrupt if I used yours tips - you are always failed
@afx Not everytime check my previous tips dude
@Cannavaro69 Never go full retard. if it's every time, all of us will be a millionaire by now simply betting against your tips.
Neither team have impressed this season so far but I believe this will be a draw 1:1
@albgunn Maybe that's because neither have played West Ham ;)
@MEHJones I take that back Liverpool played them way back in August :)
Spurs will win; Liverpool are dog shit away against the top 6
Tottenham will surely score even against our tight defense but our firepower will be too much, especially if Tottenham play 3-atb or start Davinson Sanchez (Who is a good defender but can be rash which is suicidal against Liverpool). 1-3 or 1-4 with Firmino to get off the mark, Salah to get 2.
@sarigginsUSA You are very optimistic dude :)
@Cannavaro69 And yet the score could’ve turned out to be even more favourable than my prediction had we made good decisions in the final third.
@sarigginsUSA Congrats buddy , Liverpool played a great game, thumbs up
@Cannavaro69 Congrats buddy, you've embarrassed yourself yet again with another troll comment, thumbs up
@arcglenum Hey dumb ass we are just posting comments here not everyone will be right at the end , maybe you are a little kid here so nothing to blame :)
This game could be the first that Fabinho starts. People have forgotten about him but he is a world class defensive midfielder and very versatile. Would be perfect alongside Keita and Milner to tirelessly run and dominate the midfield. That would leave TAA and Robertson free to attack, which IMO is the most important element of Liverpool's attack. The extra bodies high up the pitch force the opposition deeper and to man mark, leaving only 1 man each to Mane, Firmino, and Salah at best, which for our front 3 is no problem.
@sarigginsUSA Fabinho best role is right back
@sarigginsUSA Fabinho hasn't played a minute in PL and won't be thrown to full debut against side like Spurs. I agree he's versatile, but he may not be ready to take Henderson's role as Klopp prefers Wijnaldulm in deeper position atm. Of new signings, Keita is the most likely to start. Pool's full backs are impressive, particularly their end product is threatening, but they won't be free to attack, not against Tottenham anyway. I believe this will be very interesting match, as both teams like to press hard and tend to play entertaining football most of the time.
liverpool favourites, spurs coming off their first L and theyre weakened due to injury. hoping for a pretty good game. i guess 2.5+ goals, a lot of corners and a liverpool win.
A big test for Liverpool, Can liverpool clutch this?
After seeing what Liverpool did to Roma, I'd think twice before starting 3 man defense against them. Vertonghen and Alderweireld are outstanding defenders, but they could get exposed as Tottenham's wing backs will be kept busy against Robertson and Arnold, who keep Liverpool's game wide. Dropping Sanchez and bringing in Son or Lamela out wide sounds better option for me. That would of course hinder Lucas, who's impressed in advanced position. But as Mane and Salah are looking dangerous, back four and wingers supporting them looks essential. I also prefer to see Spurs with 4-2-3-1 these days as it has brought more combination chances in final third.
@Castle- I agree, as do the stats. Tottenham won 59 of a possible 72 league points last season when using the 4-2-3-1 formation (with a 75% win rate, scoring 53 and conceding 18) compared to just 15 of a possible 33 when using a "back 3" formation (45.5% win rate, scoring 17 and conceding 10). They were second only to Man City (85.3%) in regards to 'win percentage when using your favoured formation' but well ahead of Man Utd (63.6%), Liverpool (53.3%) and Arsenal/Chelsea (50%).
@SteveHyland That came evident last season. But during 2016/2017, when it was introduced, 3-4-2-1 was very useful. It still makes Spurs pretty safe with the ball but makes them more ineffective up front. I'm pleased to see Arsenal have abandoned back three for now as it never really look to get us forward despite bringing out best of some of our players at least.
My guess: Allison - TAA, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson - Milner, Henderson, Keita - Salah, Firmino, Mane
@Victor83 Strong team, but I would have played Wijnaldum instead of Henderson in this game.
@Xlikely My man with first goal! :D GINI!
Can't wait for this encounter. This is some of the most entertaining matches of the season. Go Go Reds, you can do it. Spurs 1 - 2 Pool.
Draw better.
Both teams to score
BTTS seems the best bet here. It's damn risky to bet on a winner.
With Vorm between the sticks do people think Liverpool will be cautious?? Spurs will have to attack, if they sit deep then Liverpool will maintain possession and win this. Delle Alli is missing as well so Spurs won't be as incisive going forward. I think Liverpool will win this 1:3
1-1
Reds will grind out a win...just like bond007 and I believe him. Gonna be a 1-2 win for the away side. come on flying reds
I can see a draw with not so many goals because the teams will be cautious. No one wants to lose.
Potentially lots of goals and btts. Hope they won't dissapoint
Forget about which team will win this game but i am sure BTTS
Over 25
Anyone know when the premier league returns?
2-1 for spurs kane double
1-2 Kane, Salah, Shaqiri
After the lose vs Wadford i think Tottenham will bounce back and win
Liverpool haven't been completely convincing this season even with their 100% record; that being said they usually play at their best against the top teams. gonna go for 1-2 or 1-3 because I can't see spurs not picking up another cheap penalty from somewhere.
@swagio Cheap penalty?1 WTF are you talking about?
@Cannavaro69 No actually wtf you talking about? that 2-2 game was a disgrace to football
@Nanami Exactly, that beautiful Salah goal deserved to win us all three points. I don't expect Lamela to get the most welcome reception if he plays.
This is massive game for Spurs, they can't afford to lose and be 6 points behind Liverpool after 5 games in season. I see spurs playing counter attack with 3-5-2 formation. I would say a draw is a fair result for both teams.
I am excited on this game. The result may potentially end everywhere between 0-0 to 4-4. If I guess, i think 2-2 is a fair and good result for them both. Tottenham and Kane gets a goal on penalty, as always against Liverpool. And a second on corner or free kick. Salah, Mane and Firmino should be capable to score a couple of goals her. Will not put a bet on this game.
Liverpool defense this season is a no brainer, I think spurs has something to think about while trying to breakdown the Gomezdijk partnership. will be one of the games to remember by red fan over the years. 3-1 for Liverpool
Liverpool Win
2-2
Mate they're in N. London
Anyone know where Tottenham lives?
@tristankleyn they are homeless at the moment mate.
Wembely! Wembely! we're the famous Tottenham Hotspur and we're off to Wembely... sigh...
