Team News

Cardiff
Burnley
  • Lee Peltier misses out for Cardiff after sustaining a dislocated shoulder, with Bruno Ecuele Manga expected to move to right-back and Sol Bamba to come in at centre-back from the side that lost 5-0 to Manchester City.
  • Joe Bennett may also come in for the Bluebirds at left-back in place of Greg Cunningham in what may be Neil Warnock's only other change to the XI.
  • The Cardiff boss remains without Aron Gunnarsson and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing
  • Sean Dyche has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the visit to Cardiff, though Steven Defour is closing in on a return to action after injury.
  • Nick Pope, Ben Gibson and Robbie Brady are all sidelined for the away side.
  • Dyche could keep with the same starting XI that secured a 4-0 win over Bournemouth last time out, with Charlie Taylor starting at left-back.

Prediction

  • Cardiff are yet to win a Premier League match this season and have picked up just two points from the opening six games. The Bluebirds look out of their depth in this league, but will view the welcome of Burnley as a route to their first three points this term.
  • Burnley were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Burton in midweek, but not before they romped to a 4-0 win over Bournemouth last week. The Clarets will be confident of making it back-to-back league wins at Cardiff's expense.
  • Cardiff won't make things easy for Burnley, yet the away side could edge another three points.

  • 67 aerials won by Burnley..wtf

  • The last time Burnley beat Cardiff was 11.5 years ago, failing to win in 13 matches against Cardiff since, but I think after they demolished Bournemouth 4-0 their confidence will be higher, albeit Bournemouth weren't at the races that day. I don't think they'll be too upset about their Caribou cup loss to Burton, as now they can concentrate on staying in the league, with back to back wins, they will find themselves in a much better position in 13th or possibly 12th place & a winnable match at home to Huddersfield, Aaron Lennon needs to have another good game & he could get on the score sheet.

  • An obvious 2-1 Burnley win.

  • 1-1

  • A must win game for both teams, so I expect some goals and an attacking football from both teams. Over 1.5 goals (1.50 odd) seems fine in terms of betting

  • Cardiff or Draw

  • Cardiff strong at home disagree here. Cardiff win

  • both to score 100%, winnable match from perspective of both, so should be pretty open. 1-1.

  • Cardiff Win

  • Draw / 90
