  • I can't decide which team are the biggest divers; arsenal, man city, man utd, chelsea, liverpool or tottenham

  • Not much to say about the game other than we played poorly but created a few chances to warrant the 3 points, but Mustafi being booked despite having been kicked is ludicrous. He will/would have miss(ed) the Southampton game through injury anyway but still, I'm not sure how that wasn't seen. It wasn't necessarily a penalty either, I might add. There is a grey area where 'contact but not sufficient contact' resides, however it wasn't a dive since there was contact. Xhaka also had no reason to go down for his booking since he had already broken away from de Mooy and although it was impossible to see live, I also couldn't tell for certain having seen the highlights. I have to assume he felt something otherwise why go down when the player has been passed by? Guendouzi's was a shocker though. Emery will need to have a word and tell him that isn't wanted at the club. We are not in La Liga.

  • Well I like this Arsenal a lot! A real team, even when the game is not going as it should they are able to score that late winner... I am sure with Wenger they would draw that 0-0 or Hudder score a late winner :)

  • @benger_alert Arsenal won 5-0 in the same fixture last year.

  • @UglyTriangle Yes. In games against United, City, Chelsea and Liverpool this Arsenal has done what Arsene's did......fail to win. Arsenal are exactly what they have been for years. Well able to run up sequences of wins against the minnows but unable to win against the elite.

  • Chose Auba over Salah for FPL captaincy, sh*t happens.

  • Zero shots on goal for Arsenal at half time and only 1 dribble.

  • @neumi17 who cares about dribble except for stats?

  • 0-0, 0-1

  • @footballover wrong again

  • Leno is satan it seems, 6.66. 2-1 here

  • Draw or Arsenal Lose

  • Home win no doubt! The only mistery is the score meaning if Arsenal will crush them or it will be a boring 1-0.

  • 1-1

  • @Algoritma A predictable 3-0 Arsenal win.

  • As for this game, it is imperative that we give sufficient rest to the irreplaceable Torreira. If he goes down, our centre becomes porous again. Xhaka has been excellent in recent months but that owes a fair bit to having a DM demon playing next to him. I would actually rest Lucas for this game AND the Qarabag tie on Thursday to ensure any niggles disappear. We need to manage the squad cautiously until January, even to the extent of being overly so, because we cannot afford another big injury. For this game: Leno, Lichtsteiner, Mustafi, Sokratis, Kolasinac, Guendouzi, Xhaka, Iwobi, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Lacazette should be able to deal with a team who have been shocking away from home since being promoted to the EPL. I expect us to start slowly, as per, but to take control in the second half. 3-0 Arsenal.

  • @SteveHyland Who is going to mark your essay!?

  • @Valak Steve's posts are actually worth reading. They make a welcome change from the childish garbage posted by armchair glory fanboys that have never left their mother's spare room let alone been to an actual match.

  • @Valak- You are.

  • The blame for Holding's season-ending injury when he was the form English defender lies solely at the feet of Unai Emery, no pun intended. Playing him for an hour, even letting him travel, for a pointless game away to Vorskla knowing that he had to play against both Utd and Spurs (regardless of the system used) was retarded. Had Wenger made this decision, he'd have been lambasted by the Gooner faithful but the same level of vehemence has not been shown towards Emery. We are now left with just two fit senior CBs to play two competitions, none of Koscielny, Monreal or Mavropanos are fit or look like they are going to be fit enough to play top level football before January and the club are unable to call Chambers back off loan (not sure why he was ever let go on loan in the first place given the Europa League would be taken seriously). It's a farcical situation all of Arsenal's doing. Something happens every sodding season which puts us at a disadvantage leading into the Christmas period.

  • Crackazette FC should be banned from competing in the EPL,can u imagine if Spurs players were the ones caught with illegal substance, it would be international news!

  • @Valak Yep it is so illegal in this country, and Spurs news only reaches the coast of Dorset

  • @Valak and can you imagine if ManU players were the ones caught with illegal substance , the press would make them heroes and make it like healthy act for players to be in good mood for games..........and it would be an international fashion ! see what fellaini did to guendouzi if it was another team player they would pictured him like an aggressive terrorist.

  • @ClassicGon Nobody cares about Man united, they are irrelevant.

  • @Valak same for spurz, they are irrelevant why you put them here

  • @ClassicGon anyway, for the game I guess 3-1 for arsenal.....hope ozil will play this game ( he need to be with team mentally)

  • Arsenal could name strong team in this match and rest players against Qarabac in EL but Huddersfield at home would be an good opportunity to give more rest for players like Torreira and Bellerin who can't be replaced in bigger games. 4-2-3-1 with Lichstener as RB and Gendouzi with Xhaka should be enough for three points. Iwobi or Miki could play no 10 if Özil and Ramsey are unavailable. Lacazette should lead the line since he's better lone striker than Auba in my opinion, despite latter has been in good form in couple of matches.

  • Interesting to see how afc cope holding Ramsey are out Mustaphi Torreira Lacazette all took Knocks and Sead looked jaded
