@Valak The last time Spurs won silverware was 10 years ago, and it's only a league cup. Levy never had any desire to build a football team to win major thropies, he can't build a proper stadium. I sincerely want to ask you, Valak had you ever go to school? If you have not, I would like to make donation so you can study in a proper school, so your brain can perform a lot better.
Jeorge Bird confirmed that Emile Smith-Rowe is injured, as he hasn't trained recently. I think we may see Saka and John-Jules get some minutes. Also hope to see the likes of Pleggy, Medley and Ben Sheaf play as we DO NOT need any more injuries in defence.
I'm sure Oezil will make a miraculous recovery from his back injury only to feel it again at the weekend and miss out against the Saints. He and Smith-Rowe could actually form a decent duo behind Nketiah and only requiring two CMs could mean that Guendouzi is rested with Willock and Elneny forming the core. I think whichever formation we'll play will produce a positive result. In assuming that an absolute 2nd choice XI will start, I will make a conservative prediction of 2-0 Arsenal but it could be 3 or 4 depending on personnel.
@SteveHyland if you know anyone with back issues you'll be aware that back problems are complex and recurring. Stop reflecting back your own dishonest personality on to other people. How cruel can fans be? Yuck.
I desperately hope that WhoScored are wrong in assuming Sokratis will play. His suspension for the Southampton game shouldn't sway Emery's thinking, we have a massive hole in defence and can ill afford Sokratis to join the casualties list. No point risking him in the most meaningless game imaginable. We need he and Mustafi fully fit for a tough game against Burnley on the 22nd and if that means sitting him here as well as the game against Spurs in the league cup then so be it. Koscielny is struggling with the style (particularly playing out form the back, which is surprising given how good he is on the ball) but if we utilise a back 3 with him in the middle then Lichtsteiner and Monreal (if fit) could start at RCB & LCB respectively with Jenkinson and Maitland-Niles as WBs. Not ideal but sod it. That same back 3 plus the addition of Bellerin & Kolasinac at WB will likely play against Southampton so with that in mind, hopefully Kos only plays the 1st half and Pleguezuelo the 2nd.
Emery says he will play young players as they have already qualified.
So arsenal are here?!,I always knew Spurs were better than them

@Valak LOL, Tottenham is a joke and lucky to move on.

@SteveHyland I'm hoping we may see Pleggy, Medley and maybe even Sheaf come off the bench for Koscielny.
