- Rennes' game with Nimes at the weekend was postponed to give them longer to prepare for Thursday's first leg against Arsenal.
- The French side could be missing as many as five players through injury in midweek.
- Former Newcastle playmaker Hatem Ben Arfa and long-time Arsenal target Ismaila Sarr are the players to watch from the home side.
- Hamari Traoré is suspended for Rennes and will need replacing at right-back, but Benjamin Andre is back after missing their last Europa League outing because of a ban.
- Alexandre Lacazette will miss both legs of this Europa League tie after UEFA handed the Frenchman an additional two-match ban in the competition. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will lead the line as a result.
- Lucas Torreira can expect to start on Thursday, as the combative midfielder begins a three-game ban in domestic games at the weekend.
- Ainsley Maitland-Niles was on the bench against Tottenham on Saturday and will hope to start here following a short spell on the sidelines. Mesut Özil will also push to start against Rennes.

how does Guendouzi get 6.9 ?? He was rubbish. Lost possession a bunch of times, put his teammates under pressure with several poor passes, Decision making was poor.
Sokratis being sent off changed the game. The second yellow, which led to the red, which also led to Rennes first goal, should have actually been a free kick for Arsenal. Sarr elbowed Sokratis in the face and that's what made him go to ground. The referee got it wrong, and that changed the entire game. Arsenal were looking good until then. Rennes benefitted from having 8 days to prepare and rest for this game. Arsenal ran out of steam in the second half because the played SPUDs three days earlier.
Arsenal played well,they got chance in first half. But fortune sides with Rennes.
Spurs win in the Champions League and Arsenal loose in Europa...

Well, Rennes is a better opponent then BATE, i think Arsenal will struggle here, but will still be enough for a draw.

2 - 0 to Arsenal , Ozil will be the difference, he was missing against BATE and it showed, but if he starts with Mikki , Iwobi and Auba . then there will be away goals . I hope Ainsley has a good game.
