  • After the pedestrian first half, I wondered whether the squad actually went for a beano instead of a training camp in Dubai but the second half was very good against a team who defended as a back 5 for large portions. It was interesting to see Xhaka take up a position deep and wide left to enable Saka to stay high up the pitch. It worked extremely well and Granit was very good after receiving a booking early on. Two seasons ago, he would have been sent off. Pépé was a mixture of the type of runs that we like to see and the type which made Arteta jump off the bench and yell at him. With the exception of Bellerín, who looks rusty, the team played well.

  • Özil with his premier goal this season and his first in over 300 days ...

  • There is life after Wenger! I believe

  • Praise Bergkamp, these shirkers have finally won a game. May Henry give them the strength to do great things, and finish in the top 8.

  • Özil scores, and snow starts falling in hell.

  • Lol, Saint-Maximin is a worthy heir to Gervinho.

  • @What4 Are you talking strictly about playstyle?

  • indeed fake coach is that Arteta, starting Nketiah who was too poor to play on loan in Championship...

  • @koziol.mutant Arteta isn't a fake coach

  • 2-2 draw.

  • Is Guendouzi injured?

  • @What4- Apparently, Guendouzi was being less-than-professional during a training session in Dubai which prompted Artrta to give him a bollocking. The argument either continued or was reignited back at the hotel afterwards and Guendouzi got into it with a couple of the coaching staff.

  • @What4- Nope.

  • 4.95 odds for draw. Too high!

  • 2-1 to Arsenal, Aubameyang to score. Arsenal were known for a being an entirely different beast at home, can they rediscover that today?

  • 3-2 and Xhaka to score

  • @alxdru I would be shocked if Newcastle didn't win 2-1.

  • @SeuneMilmas lmao

  • 3-1

  • Anything but a draw, please. I would even prefer losing to this Newcastle team as long as it was the result of going for the win. I hope Pepe give Rose some nightmares.

  • 2-0 or 3-1, Arsenal by 2 clear goals

  • Under 2.5 Goals has Won in six of Arsenal's last eight league games.

  • It's high time for Lacazette to score. It's been two months with 719 mins played since last time.

  • 1-0 Arsenal, but in truth this season has been an unmitigated disaster which makes one want to forget football was ever invented, if you're a gooner.

  • @Overmars it's very sad to see so-called "supporters" who can't handle a poor season. I can't imagine what you people would have done if you'd been watching Arsenal when they were really poor like the mid-60's and mid 70's. I'm sure you'd have all gone and "supported" someone else. It's quite laughable when people who only started "supporting" Arsenal when they were playing well and winning things, start moaning when they don't. The clue is in the name! Supporters support. Supporting a club is easy when they're winning but it's more important that you "support" the club when they're not doing so well. That's when they need support. Supporting is about the club. Not about fans having their egos massaged. If you don't like it, go to another club and leave the real supporters to do just that.

  • @Overmars It is also the worst season I have ever lived as an Arsenal fan, but we must not forget it is a very typical situation when a manager with the stature of Wenger leaves; this period of decline and confusion was unavoidable. It is the same with Manchester United and many other teams. Furthermore, many players joined the club last summer, and there is a necessary period of adaptation for the new as well as the previous players. Overall, I reckon next season could be successful again.

  • @Overmars- It's been the most frustrating that I can remember in my 27 seasons as a fan. I do like what Arteta is doing though, even though the results haven't been great. He has simplified the tactics, allowing more flexibility than Unai did and stressing the importance of individual responsibility. We look more of a unit under Mikel and Mustafi/Luiz actually look like professional footballers now.

  • Another fail by fake coach Arteta incoming here 0-0 or 0-1

  • @stefanm Another fail by an amateur "supporter" who knows nothing about the game but pretends he does. Start supporting and stop moaning. The club needs our support not a bunch of whingers.

  • @stefanm lol no

  • @stefanm- Yep.

  • @stefanm Hard to disagree. As Jose once explained, poets don't win many titles. Arsenal's form under fake coach Arteta has been abysmal.
