Team News

Borussia Dortmund
Schalke
  • Emre Can, Axel Witsel and Nico Schulz will all miss the Ruhr derby with muscle injuries.
  • Marco Reus is still on his way back from a nagging muscle injury, while Dan-Axel Zagadou has a knee tear.
  • Wunderkind striker Erling Haaland looks likely to start up front after a sizzling start to life in Germany.
  • Omar Mascarell will miss the rest of the season with an adductor tear.
  • Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel has lost his place to Markus Schubert, following some high-profile gaffs. Nubel has agreed to join Bayern Munich on a free transfer in the summer, much to Schalke's displeasure.
  • Defenders Benjamin Stambouli and Salif Sané were fixtures in Schalke's early season good form and both are nearing a return, with the latter the closest of the two.
  • Ozan Kabak has hurt his back and may not play again this season. Central defender Jean-Clair Todibo, signed from Barcelona, is also an option in central defence. Timo Becker could also come in.
  • Daniel Caligiuri has recovered from a knee problem, while Suat Serdar is over his broken toe suffered in training.

Prediction

  • Buoyed by the best home record in the Bundesliga, normally, Borussia Dortmund would have too much class for their local rivals.
  • However, any home advantage in front of the "Yellow Wall" goes out of the window, in a weird atmosphere with no fans due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
  • With local pride at stake, struggling Schalke will fight for everything in the Ruhr derby.
  • With Dortmund picking up a few key injuries in the lead-up, Schalke may spring a surprise with a derby draw.

  • Finally, visiting this website again.. congratz bundesliga

  • Havertz and Brand could play the Ozil "spot" in German national team anytime.

  • @alxdru Except for Werner every position is kinda good well settled for German NT. This guy Werner seems to never perform in int'l games.

  • @yash8117 No, the left back as well as the right back suck and with Süle there is only one decent full back available. Werner is good if he has room in counterattack situations, otherwise he sucks.

  • @yash8117 too bad Lewa is polish:)

  • @yash8117 yes thats a hard choice for now.i gues it depends who improve faster. Werner is close to become that finishing striker but havertz and brand needs to improve the long pass too so i guess is somewhere in the middle

  • of course 0-4 by the name was the better choice ;(

  • need goal by Schalke, go

  • I already forgot this website exists =DD Great player Haaland!! :D

  • 2-0

  • BTTS

  • Dortmund are in good form - they won their last 4 Bundesliga matches.

  • @lias when were those matches, several months ago! dumb to think this is continuing form from previous matches

  • @libehv Dumb to think im speaking serious lol

  • Dortmund to win, Haaland to score.

  • Footballs back baby!!!

  • Serdar is a goal machine

  • @baldcoot Last year maybe

  • Damn Emre Can, Witsel, and Reus seem to be injured. We are going to be without a proper midfield.
