Team News

Tottenham
Leicester
  • Jose Mourinho is expected to name some changes from the side that lost 2-1 away to Liverpool on Wednesday.
  • Sergio Reguilon and Tanguy Ndombele will likely return to the fold, while Matt Doherty and Lucas Moura are options on the right.
  • Gareth Bale missed out against Liverpool through illness and remains a doubt for Tottenham.
  • Harry Winks and Dele Alli are both seemingly out of favour at the moment, though the latter made a shock cameo at Anfield.
  • Jonny Evans returns from a one-match ban to bolster Leicester's defensive options on Sunday. Wilfred Ndidi should return to midfield as a return.

Prediction

  • Tottenham had a real opportunity to beat Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday and will kick themselves for missing several golden opportunities. They paid the ultimate price as they conceded a stoppage time winner to lose 2-1. Jose Mourinho's side could be as many as six points behind Liverpool by the time they host Leicester on Sunday.
  • Leicester lost 2-0 at home to Everton on Wednesday after a run of three straight wins. The Foxes have lost their last three matches away to Tottenham, conceding at least three goals in each game. On the road this season, however, Leicester have won all but one of their six Premier League away matches.
  • It will be interesting to see how this match pans. The Leicester of recent seasons have been devastating on the counter, but Brendan Rodgers has notably shifted the team to a more possession-based style this term, which would certainly play into Tottenham's hands.

  • Quite unfortunate the best players at Mourinho's disposal are the very ones betraying his system. This system of relying on fast, swift & skillful wingers and clinical finishers with alternative roles depends heavily on the attackers' efficiency. There are no real ballers in midfield for the current starting XI considering Winks and Lo Celso have all fallen off the radar. You can't expect much possesion neither would u expect many chances, but then, every single chance becomes a clear goalscoring opportunity. Unfortunately, Kane of all people decides to go blank in two of Spurs' crucial games, both of which games Spurs coukd have won with the spark of his presence. But mind you...Spurs are still in the race! Wounded lions???

  • Still no goal for golfer Gareth..

  • ...So Spurs title challenge lasted for grand total of 4 days.

  • Spurs are awful

  • Best team lost..

  • Make Spurs Great Again!

  • Surely at some point Spurs have to play football, instead of just sitting back and waiting to counter? which won't work against compact teams like Leicester or Liverpool.

  • @Real_Madrid Mou doesnt know what football is and how to play it. He lacks creation feature, he has only destruction one... and when he keeps losing, it will be self-destruction for his team in charge, as always.

  • @dzvinka Have you won 25 trophies in football? No, you haven't. So STFU!

  • Football has been so unpredictable this weekend.

  • the better team is losing

  • Mou,time to retire old man.

  • @stefanm no, Mou is still a very good manager. He just doesn't have the players to play the kind of game he wants. He prefers tough physical players who are the hardest of workers and excellent decision makers. Look at what he has at Spurs. Aurier to name one. Such a naive player. He cost Spurs the game today. Yes, he sets his team up to play boring defensive games but he always delivers trophies. It isn't some mere coincidence that he does that. He is a tactical genius. He just doesn't yet have the players he needs to deliver trophies. Spurs didn't bring him in to play attractive football. He has been brought in to end their trophy drought. He will do it if he is properly backed.

  • @atalpandey7 He will win 0 trophies this season, mark my words.

  • How on earth was that offside?!?? Can we all please riot to get rid of this insanity they call VAR?!!?

  • @galoise do you prefer goals from obvious offsides, clean disallowed goals and ridiculous penalties?

  • Spurs 4 goals Leicester to score too tho

  • Tottenham 3-2 Leicester

  • Spurs are great odds to win this at home.

  • 2-1

  • Totte to win a 2-1

  • Time for things to start getting really sour. Another 1-1 draw

  • Spurs 2-1.Bale is back on the golf course as he is Injured. He is doing the same thing as at Real Madrid.

  • @Rensen Sorry Bale starts on the bench
