- Todd Cantwell still wasn't well enough to feature in Norwich's defeat to West Ham on Wednesday night.
- Joshua Sargent missed out against West Ham due to the birth of his child but Dean Smith will hope to have him back here.
- Norwich manager Dean Smith will likely make a couple of changes from the loss in midweek.
- Adam Idah did well in a new role as a No.10 in midweek and may well keep that role here.
- Lucas Digne completed a move to Aston Villa on Thursday and Everton are expected to have Anwar El Ghazi on loan from their Premier League rivals in time for this game.
- Andros Townsend scored on his return from injury as Everton beat Hull in the FA Cup last weekend but Alex Iwobi is away at AFCON.
- Dominic Calvert-Lewin was not risked against Hull but will return to lead the line for Rafa Benitez's side here.
- Digne's replacement, Vitalii Mykolenko, will make his Premier League debut this weekend. Fellow January arrival Nathan Patterson may have to settle for a place on the bench.
- Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph, Richarlison and Jarrad Branthwaite all took part in parts of Wednesday's training, which suggests they aren't far from returning.
