Team News

Man Utd
Ipswich
  • Manchester United suffered no fresh injury concerns from their 2-2 draw with Everton on Saturday, though remain without eight players for Wednesday's welcome of Ipswich.
  • Casemiro may drop out of the XI in place of Alejandro Garnacho, with Bruno Fernandes dropping in alongside Manuel Ugarte in the middle of the park.
  • Teenagers Leny Yoro and Chido Ob-Martin featured off the bench at Goodison Park and the pair might come into the XI at the expense of Harry Maguire and Rasmus Hojlund
  • Axel Tuanzebe returns from a ban, and should start at right-back in place of Ben Godfrey, who was hooked at half time in the 4-1 loss to Tottenham at the weekend.
  • Kalvin Phillips and Jens Cajuste are both doubts having picked up knocks against Spurs, with Sam Morsy and Jack Taylor potentially starting in the middle of the park.
  • Conor Chaplin will also be assessed, but Julio Enciso, Chiedozie Ogbene, Christian Walton and Wes Burns miss out.

Prediction

  • Two second half goals saw Manchester United snatch a point from the jaws of defeat at Everton in Saturday's lunchtime kick off. United have now failed to win in three in the Premier League, and have lost five of their last six at Old Trafford.
  • Ipswich's winless run extended to seven league matches with a 4-1 loss to Tottenham on Saturday. The Tractor Boys have won only three league games all season, though two of those did come on the road.
  • Ipswich make their first league trip to Old Trafford since a 4-0 loss in 2001. History may not repeat itself in terms of scoreline, but United should get the job done in front of their own fans in midweek.
