Team News

Aston Villa
Tottenham
  • Jacob Ramsey is suspended after his second half dismissal at Bournemouth last weekend, with John McGinn set to start on the left.
  • Youri Tielemans may make the matchday squad this week, but Marcus Rashford is sidelined.
  • Unai Emery could bring Ian Maatsen back into the side at left-back for Friday's welcome of Tottenham.
  • Dejan Kulusevski came off in the first half against Crystal Palace last weekend, and he's since undergone surgery on his patella.
  • Ange Postecoglou will name as many fringe players as possible ahead of next week's Europa League final.
  • Dane Scarlett, James Maddison, Timo Werner, Radu Dragusin and Lucas Bergvall are all missing, however the latter has a slim chance of featuring in Bilbao.

Prediction

  • Aston Villa claimed a huge three points at Bournemouth last weekend as they look to wrap up a top-five finish. The Villans have now won seven of their last eight league outings, and haven't lost a Premier League game at Villa Park since August.
  • They should feel confident about maintaining their home dominance when they take on a Tottenham side whose focus is fully on next week's Europa League final. Spurs have won only one of their last 10 league matches, and even that came at home against a dire Southampton side.
  • Villa have already beaten Spurs at home this season, and anything but a routine Villans victory would be a surprise.
