Almere City FC

Ajax
- Jochem Ritmeester van de Kamp, Theo Barbet, and Àlex Carbonell are the only players currently sidelined for Almere City as they prepare to host Eredivisie leaders Ajax on Sunday afternoon.
- Anas Tahiri is expected to start in place of the injured Ritmeester van de Kamp. Additionally, Adi Nalic and Emanuel Poku are options for inclusion in Jeroen Rijsdijk's starting lineup, as both players came off the bench during last weekend's narrow loss to Feyenoord.
- Junior Kadile returns from suspension and is expected to resume his role on the left flank, meaning Ruben Providence will drop back to the bench.
- Ajax will be missing at least nine players this weekend. Both of their first-choice goalkeepers, Remko Pasveer and Jay Gorter, are unavailable, which means that January transfer window recruit Matheus will be making his second consecutive start.
- With Josip Šutalo also absent, either Ahmetcan Kaplan or Daniele Rugani will partner Youri Baas in central defence.
- There shouldn't be many changes to Francesco Farioli's starting lineup from last weekend, although Jordan Henderson, Kian Fitz-Jim, Oliver Edvardsen—who scored off the bench against his former team, Go Ahead Eagles—and Steven Berghuis are all pushing for starting positions.
Ajax Win Ez
Ajax win. That's just what they've been doing especially since the beginning of 2025. They don't play the most attractive style but they get the job done every single time. They are solid at the back and have enough attacking quality to score a goal or two and locking up win after win in the Eredivisie.
