Team News

Preston
QPR
  • Sam Greenwood was unable to face his parent club last weekend but should return to the starting XI on Friday afternoon.
  • Elsewhere, a recall could be on the cards for Watford loanee Ryan Porteous.
  • Paul Heckingbottom will be without five first-team players, while wing-back Brad Potts remains doubtful.
  • Striker Michael Frey was only fit enough to make the bench last weekend, but should step into the starting line-up on Good Friday.
  • Sam Field and Kenneth Paal were both absent in gameweek 42 and remain doubtful for the trip to Deepdale.
  • Alfie Lloyd failed a late fitness test ahead of the clash with Bristol City but should be in contention here.

Prediction

  • Preston responded perfectly after going behind to a long-range Manor Solomon goal last weekend, scoring two minutes later. However, the Lilywhites were ultimately beaten 2-1 at Elland Road as their poor run of form continued. The Lancashire club are winless in four Championship matches and have little left to play for this season.
  • QPR now find themselves in a similar situation to their hosts with four games remaining, but only a three-match unbeaten streak has allowed Marti Cifuentes' side to breathe easy following a brief flirtation with the relegation battle. A 1-1 draw against playoff contenders Bristol City will give the London club confidence heading into the Easter weekend.
