Team News

Casa Pia AC
Braga
  • Coach João Pereira will have to change things at the back since Casa Pia's captain serves a match ban. Goulart should replace him.
  • Iyad Mohamed was sent off in the last minute against Arouca and serves suspension, which will change things in the engine room. Rafael Brito is a strong candidate to fill in the gap.
  • Cauê reached a milestone of bookings and won't be available here. The returned Livolant should replace him out wide.
  • Roger Fernandes was surprisingly on the bench last time around but he should return to the starting XI as he's fully fit now.
  • Paulo Oliveira will boost options at the back after serving a match ban last time around. He should be partnered with Bambu at the heart of the defence.
  • Fran Navarro started up front last time out but he might be replaced by either El Ouazzani or Afonso Patrão if Carlos Carvalhal decides to ring the changes there.

Prediction

  • Casa Pia held Arouca to a scoreless draw last time out and remain in the hunt for 7th place. João Pereira's men have been ineffecitve upfront and are on a 5-match winless run which they will look to break on Saturday.
  • Braga failed to beat Santa Clara last time out and allowed FC Porto to overtake them in third place thanks to goal difference. They'll be looking to turn that around with a win against Casa Pia that could put pressure on the dragons.
  • Casa Pia already managed to surprise Braga the last time the two teams met, but the absence of some key players can take its toll, benefiting the Gverreiros do Minho, who are expected to take all three points here.
