@sarigginsUSA He is though.. He's 6 points ahead of the defending champions.. What needs to be done is getting rid of the old guard, who have no ambition of winning titles, and buy great center backs.. They should sell Kimmich, Gnabry, Kim, Guerrero, Sane, Coman, and the old keepers should retire.. Kane should be on the chopping block too.. The curse is too real
@cafootball You do realize Leverkusen won the league last season, and Dortmund are currently 8th, and almost eliminated Barcelona, and Eintract is about to eliminate Tottenham??
@Sputnik You always conveniently talk out of both sides of your mouth when your team is lucky to be in the semis.. By the way, they were eliminated in the semis.. At least get your facts right
@Sputnik Bayern wasn't overrated. The played with Kimmich, Goretzka, Müller, Stanisic, Laimer and Sané.
None of those are quick and technical gifted with the ball.
With Olise they had only one technically very good player in the starting line up, how can you be overrated with such a limited squad ?
@neumi17 I was talking about the last several seasons, not just this one. They have been an overrated team by the media and neutral fans for quite a while now.
@Sputnik I'm surprised by Dier's performance tonight because I thought he'd be too slow and didn't even make it at Tottenham. In previous seasons Upamecano and ? were decent but too vulnerable to trickery and they were knocked out over it by Emery's Villareal. Didn't surprise me. They've always had good wingers and did manage to effectively replace Lewandowski but the rest of the team doesn't hold it together like they used to. Coaching issue? They certainly couldn't replace Neuer and even if he were fit he hasn't been the same either..
Not a big fan of this Bayern team but am feeling quite sorry for Harry Kane. What are the odds they somehow throw away the Bundesliga and he goes another season without winning a trophy?
@neumi17 He's been one of the most well-rounded #9s for the better part of a decade and has nothing to show for it. Benzema and Suarez to me are the other great forwards with a similar profile but who else under 30 fits the bill? Haaland is just a poacher and Mbappe is not a target-man - I'm drawing a blank here. Soon somebody is going to buy Isak for $100M and that will tell you just how bleak the market is right now for real striker talent.
@Sputnik Aguero was a sublime talent, also not a target-man and probably a little too shy in big moments - he should have won a Champions with City but he could never produce the magic to make it happen when his team needed it. I'm Argentine, never missed a game, and know these players well. Martinez has streaks of good form like right now but has always lacked something??? to really hit the top level, and that's why even if he wins the CL Argentina will still play Alvarez instead. As a pure striker, I think Alvarez is the only one of this whole list that can compare to Aguero in technical brilliance, he's far better than Lautaro, but its hard to categorize him b/c he's obviously not a real target-man either. He's simply too talented and determined to leave out of the team so managers have to get creative. and I'm sure that's something Guardiola can talk about all day.
@KingKeno I'm a Bayern fan, and it seems you haven't watched their games the last few months.. They are awful, with all the possession and missed chances.. The six points mean nothing, if you play like garbage.. They haven't utilized 2 huge slipups from Leverkusen.. Very few players aren't at fault, like the only change they made on the right wing, who is Bayern's best player this season.. Where are all the goals Kane has been scoring??
I surprised about Pavard 's and his effusive celebration for his goal , seemed he didn't really cares he was a former Bayern player.
@dib AFAIK he wasn't on very good terms with the team because they forced him to his 2ndary position constantly which he doesn't like.
@DanInter Still, you don't do that to your former club.. He was sold because you don't make such demands
Vincent Kompany is just not that good of a manager

Nothing new - overrated Bayern bowing out in the quarters. Water is wet.

@tkr Why do you feel sorry ? He has been in terrible shape for months and one reason why Bayern failed to reach the semi finals.
@tkr Sergio Aguero in general, Lautaro Martinez right now. Even though the latter isn't a typical 9 either.
@Sputnik Aguero was a sublime talent, also not a target-man and probably a little too shy in big moments - he should have won a Champions with City but he could never produce the magic to make it happen when his team needed it.
