Team News

Norway
Finland
  • The ever present Maren Mjelde is expected to start.
  • Guro Reiten, who has been key to Chelsea's success, will play a part.
  • Ada Hegerberg, one of the stars of the side hasn't been a part of the squad in recent years and has missed a fair amount of international tournament due to her protest, but takes part this year.
  • Wealth of talent including many players familiar to WSL fans (Eva Nystrom, Ria Oling, Olga Ahtinen, Oona Siren, Eveliina Summanen).

Prediction

  • Both teams here come into matchday two on the back of wins so a win for either side could see them through. Finland kicked off the tournament against Iceland. It was a stern test but a goal from Katariina Kosola saw Finland take all three points. Norway found it tough too as they faced the hosts Switzerland. The Swiss edged ahead in the 28th minute with Nadine Riesen sending the stadium into pandemonium. Norway fought back and a goal from Ada Hegerberg put them level with an own goal sealing the three points for Norway. The head to head record sees Norway dominate this fixture with nine wins but there have been four draws between the two. Norway did seem somewhat shaky in their last match but they should get the win.
