  • Graliśmy jak zawsze, wygraliśmy jak nigdy! Haha! For those who can't speak Polish - I'm paraphrasing one of our most common football saying "we were playing as never before, but we lost as always". Today we were playing as always, but won as never!

  • Die Mannschaft? More like die Frauschaft. Szczesny just played the match of his life. Well done, Polska!

  • Glik has been unreal should be 8.5 at least!

  • Damn, Rudiger does a great game so far! Anyway I hate the fact that Jogi is so keen on replacing wing backs by central defenders. I really don't understand that. Seems so stupid to me. But success proves him right.

  • Wawrzyniak is a joke. Every action goes through his side and he didn't block a single cross yet. Also first two minutes and he already made two mistakes. Also Grosicki is awful.

  • TV says posession Germany 57%, whoscored stats say 67%...

  • @neumi17 Television lies, don't you know? :)

  • I don't understand Poland not being better than they are. With 38.5m people in the country and football being practically the only sport the non-freaks play, they should be top 8 in the world at least. I know we (England) are a mediocre team but our talented sportsmen are spread across a number of sports at least. The potential for a country the size of Poland is huge but there must be something lacking at the grass roots level. As for the game, Germany will likely win but I'm hoping Poland take the lead early on to give the crowd a lift and make it an exciting game. If Germany score early this will end up such a one-sided game that I'll have to resort to watching the X Factor. Come on Poland... please!

  • @SteveHyland @SteveHyland wow the saying are true inklish morons are obsessed with ze germans. they either watch their national team to win(inkland) or watch their sworn enemies ze germans(the german do not even consider u lazy nations as their rival-that title goes to either argentina, brazil and netherlands :P) to lose(which rarely happens). infact the statistics suggest the most amount of ppl who follow the ze germans are none other than the inklish. that means its good day for u since ze german lost but dont worry ur good day will not last long enough...

  • @SteveHyland One reason Poland does not excel more often is lack of funding in the lower leagues and/or at the grass roots level. Yes, many former Soviet-run countries lack the financial means to compete with the larger countries. In Poland, however, there are my other options to soccer. For example, Poles excel in other sports (they just won the world volleyball championship). A good example of "having too many options" is the United States. Soccer is far down the list of America's primary sports (Football, Baseball, Basketball, etc.) Also, many of the dual-nationality players often choose to play for a different country. Miroslav Klose and Lukas Podolski are both of Polish-German backgrounds but both have chosen the colors of Germany. Naturally, it is more beneficial to play for Germany but just think over the years of how many German-Polish or xCountry-Polish players have not played for Poland. Hell, just imagine Klose and Podolski on the current Polish squad.

  • @SteveHyland Not exactly. Poland has won Volleyball World Champions two weeks ago and the handballers have bitten Germany 3 month ago. We have many talents, but the problem is that polish youth system is old fashioned. Podolski and Klose were born in Poland. If they had stayed in this country, they would have never reached their level.

  • Poland has never won against Germany and i don't think today is the day we'll gonna do it for the first time. Seriously, we have crappy team. I know on paper it seems good, but they don't play as they do at club level. Lewandowski is quarter of a player he is at Bayern and was at Borussia. No Błaszyczkowski, our lungs and our defense is so pathetic. I mean, he haven't seen a decent left-back since the 80' and rest of defenders aren't so good either. Germany is far superior on every position except striker. 1-3, 0-3 for the Germany.

  • @El_Duderino I agree. I think Poland might score first, but that will wake up Germany for them to comeback and win. Some top players injured for Germany as well: Höwedes, Großkreutz, Özil, Reus, Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Bender & Gomez are all not available at the moment. It might be a tight game but after 45' Germany will win for sure. They sometimes need the "wake up goal"

  • I so happy I was wrong!

  • Win for Germany because are invincible.

  • According to the German Sports News Kicker the line up could be: Neuer Rüdiger, Boateng, Hummels, Durm Kramer, Kroos Schürrle, Müller, Podolski Götze

  • @maxvroden This won`t happen, because " Kicker " is wrong in 80 % of their predictions and secondly because Loew won`t play without any creativ and technical skilled Midfielders. Neither of Schuerrle, Mueller or Podolski can dribble or is good in quick one touch combination play...

  • Poland is gonna win this game.

  • @oscar The question is how would that be possible ? The whole german team must have a shitty day, whereas the polish side has to be on steroids... :-)

  • @neumi17 Which is what basically happened tonight...

  • @neumi17 Atacking and atacking...impossible is nothing.

  • Poland 2 Germany 1
