- David Opsina and Alexis Sanchez are both unavailable following their respective participation in the Copa America.
- Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky are both sidelined through injury, while Danny Welbeck continues his return to fitness following a knee problem sustained in pre-season.
- Arsene Wenger could name an unchanged side from the one that defeated Chelsea in Sunday's Community Shield.
- Enner Valencia and Andy Carroll both miss out for West Ham through injury, while Joey O'Brien and Winston Reid are classed as doubts.
- Carl Jenkinson is unavailable for manager Slaven Bilic as he is ineligible to face his parent club.
- Bilic could hand debuts to Dimitri Payet, and Angelo Ogbonna, though Pedro Obiang is expected to start from the bench having only recently returned to fitness.
Arsenal are still a mess. Francis and Sanchez are the two player that keep the team wiped right. Else we see a day dreaming ozil or old sanchez or wishful ramsey that he could be the main striker. Arsenal had not made any impoverment in the squad. They practice no new technique. Keep on playing zonal marking and free keep routine. Its only the player own creativity that gets us through each week. Wenger has to come up with a solution. Arsenal same old same old

@TheGunner Sanchez was not xompetitively fit and walcott has still to find his touch.
Tomkins should easily have been sent off in that game, should have already been booked before he actually was and could have gotten another yellow one or two times after the ref actually booked him

Huh. Well, now Arsenal will go on a 15 game unbeaten run.
It's very bad, it's not a disaster. Worst case scenario is Cech does this poorly again and again which is unlikely, and then they have Ospina to step in. Arsenal like Chelsea City and United will have to adjust to a more competitive league. Ogbonna and Payet are really very good players who in previous years may only have gone to Spurs, Liverpool etc.

Cech has made twice the number of errors leading to a goal in his first prem game for Arsenal as Ospina did in his 18 last season. It doesn't seem to matter who we sign, we're always as bad. Who's fault is that I wonder?

I really hope "big Slav" is true to his word when he said West Ham will try to play more football this season. If so then 4-0 Arsenal in this game and the Hammers faithful chanting "Bring back Sam". Realistically, they will play more conservatively so I'm saying 2-0 with Cazorla MotM.
