I think he's actually an Everton mole intentionally trying to get sent off but the refs aren't obliging. Oh well, La Liga beckons. :-p . I like Benteke and glad he's scoring. I've said for a couple of seasons he has world class potential but his brain/attitude is stopping him become so. With Sturridge's seemingly chronic injury troubles, I expect Christian to play a fair bit. Thankfully, Rodgers has abandoned his infamous 3-1-3-2-f9 formation so "CB9" playing as a genuine central figure should get plenty of chances to score. Much was made of the fee Liverpool paid but, along with Coutinho, he could be Rodgers' best signing. Time will tell.

Surely Liverpool can't really fluke their way through the entire campaign and get top 4? I'd be shocked if next season we have the incompetent Liverpool who can't catch a fly in Europe ahead of Utd and Arsenal. With Arsenal , you at least have one English team reaching the knockout stage even if they go out to a relatively tough side and Utd surely can't be much worse with a manager in charge who has vast experience in Europe.

@NotBiased How can that be the case when they have had only 1 shot/chance in the first half. It came from a set-piece and it failed. Overall, 1-0 to Liverpool is the right score.
@LionelJ Worth mentioning that this is probably one of the easiest offside decisions they're going to make where a player is clearly miles offside and reacted to the ball. They would face some tougher situations than this. Imagine a scenario where someone in an offside position is blocking the GKs' view but when the shot is taken , does absolutely nothing and just stands there. This is the sort of decision which can be debatable. When they're not judging the simplest of situations correctly , how do you expect them to deal with the tougher ones?
