  • We didn't play at our best and Sunderland defended well for the most part. All that mattered, after winning just 2 of the last 9 points available, was a win and that we got.

  • who's actually got the MOTM ?

  • Why is Aron Ramseys rating worse than Özils ? He had more possession, better pass success, way more shots, more aerials won and he scored a goal plus one assists ! Doesn`t make any sense ...

  • @neumi17 In my experience passing success and shots contribute quite little in rating. Özil had one more dribble and key pass than Ramsey, 2 tackles vs. Ramsey's 1 interception, got fouled 5 times whereas Ramsey not once and made two successful through balls. In addition, Ramsey made one foul and had 3 bad touches on the ball. I wouldn't look too much on these ratings, but in WS standards Özil did have little better game.

  • Giroud!!Why did he try to clear that innofensive free kick with his lefty foot? He wanted to give a Xmas gift to Southerland XD

  • Good Finish Giroud. Half the work is done. Now concentrate on putting the ball in the opponent's goal

  • @MiguelSuave He eventually did it. Nice coaching MiguelSuave

  • @MiguelSuave Work Done :-)

  • Giroud scores....

  • @fmac4ever Twice lol

  • Ozil cannt stop assisting !

  • Go Blackcats!

  • Ramsey to get injured

  • @fmac4ever to get injured ? what do you mean bro ?

  • Allardyce parks the bus here... 0-0 snore draw coming

  • 3:0

  • Sir Arsene Wenger , please add a world class striker , one DM and one CM also to your squad if you want to win Premier League.

  • I'd imagine that Oxlade-Chamberlain will start over Gibbs.

  • @TacticalMastermind you're*

  • @TacticalMastermind Your welcome whoscored. You had Gibbs on the left wing before. Surely that's not happening against Sunderland at home.

  • I can't see Sunderland's attacking threat. We all know Allardicci the revolutionary tactician will park the bus, and does that midfield have the technical quality to break that down? For that reason Oxlade-Chamberlain needs to start.

  • Really not sure about this one, a lot of emphasis on Arsenal to 'bounce back' but those are really key injuries. 1-0

  • @Zee530 the result will be Arsenal 2-0 ,I think

  • 3 months for Cazorla. Grrrrreat

  • Koscielny is a possibility for this game. I hope Wenger isn't stupid enough to risk Koscielny against Sunderland at home when we have a do-or-die game against Olympiakos 4 days later, although I've been shocked by his lack of common sense over the years. I would think about not playing Mertesacker or Cazorla either. If we cannot beat Sunderland with Chambers and Gabriel in defence then it's pointless having either of them in the squad. That's no disrespect to Sunderland and they've played well in recent weeks but I would be surprised if we conceded more than 1 and scored less than 2 given it's at the Emirates and we'll have 65%+ of the ball. Ramsey in CM next to Flamini should also be good enough with Oezil in the 10 against the Black Cats' midfield. Cazorla has looked a bit subdued in recent weeks. We will need him at his best in Greece and a rest here will help facilitate that. Allardyce teams are generally tough to break down so I'll go with 2-0.

  • @SteveHyland good analysis !

  • @Blinco- Thank you. :-)

  • @SteveHyland Fingers crossed for carzola, Sanchez's injury. I'm not sure if Chambers is good enough for Arsenal yet.My line up would be (4-2-3-1): Cech, Debuchy, Mertesacker, Gabriel, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Ox, Ozil, Campbell, Giroud.

  • Alex Song is struggling for game time at West Ham. Won't be bad to have him back as we're in dire need of a DM and he is already used to Wenger's methods. Not sure if West Ham would agree to cancel the loan though.

  • @Valor HAHAHAHAHAHA before start of the season all arse*nal fans were like we have won pre season treble and we will win the league...LOL I have my trust in wenger he messes arse*nal up every season. This is the reason why arse*nal can't win the league. If player is in "RED ZONE" don't play him like other managers do but arsene plays them every week and they get injured for like 1-2 months.

  • @WazzaFC- I don't think every Arsenal fan thought we'd win the league. I thought we'd contend but I also thought we'd sign a top striker and add some depth to the squad and obviously neither of those happened. I agree with the rest though. He seems to think the players are robots and is constantly surprised we have the worst injuries every season.

  • @SteveHyland Yea I agree guys. One thing Pep Guardiola does a lot and it helps is rotation. He hardly maintains a constant 11 for 2 consecutive matches yet the quality does not drop. His squad depth is exceptional. Arsenal has a great starting 11, but the backups are rubbish...

  • @Valor- And we have money in the bank according to everyone official associated with the club. No excuse for not having a strong squad. I think the problem is we don't have the pulling power Wenger likes to believe we have even being in London, perennial champions league qualifiers etc. We need a big season in the CL and winning the league to attract the top players and most promising youngsters.
